14m agoJackson (toe) took part in OTAs on Tuesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
Jackson missed the final two games of 2023 with a toe issue, but he appears to have fully recovered from the injury and was participating in drills Tuesday with fellow safeties Harrison Smith and Josh Metellus. Jackson logged 381 snaps -- 123 on defense, 258 on special teams -- over 15 games last season, recording 21 tackles (14 solo) and one interception. He re-signed with Minnesota on a one-year, $985,000 contract in February.

24m agoIngram (shoulder) participated in the Vikings' OTA practice Tuesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Ingram missed the Vikings' regular-season finale after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 17 against the Packers. The 2022 second-round pick out of LSU appears fully recovered from the injury and is slated to be the starting right guard for Minnesota for 2024.

37m agoHead coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that Jackson (knee) participated in individual drills during OTAs, Adam Grosbard of The Orange Country Register reports.
Jackson sustained a minor meniscus tear in the Lions' divisional-round playoff win over the Buccaneers that forced him out of the NFC Championship Game against the 49ers. He signed with the Rams on a three-year, $51 million deal in March, and McVay noted that Jackson is expected to participate in 11-on-11 drills at some point during the offseason program.

Cherelus was placed on the IR on November 3 due to a knee injury, and he missed the Panthers' last 10 regular-season games. He played in six games for Carolina in 2023, with all 105 of his snaps coming on special teams.

Schweitzer landed on the IR twice last season due to the same calf injury, but he now appears to be fully recovered. The 2016 sixth-round pick has primarily spent his career at guard, but multiple injuries led to Schweitzer playing across the offensive line, including at center.

2m agoMarsh (4-1) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings to earn the win over the Tigers on Tuesday.
Marsh completed six innings for just the second time this year, earning his second quality start in the process. He gave up a two-run triple to Matt Vierling and an RBI single to Colt Keith as the Tigers rallied in the fourth inning, but that was all of the damage. Marsh has limited opponents to one earned run or less in five of his eight starts this season, maintaining a strong 2.72 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 43 innings. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Minnesota.

2m agoTauchman went 2-for-5 with two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3, 10-inning win over Atlanta.
Tauchman served as the leadoff hitter and DH in this one, and he continued his solid play, pushing his average to .262 and his OPS to .789. The veteran is seeing regular time at DH and in right field, with Seiya Suzuki also in the mix for both spots. Tauchman isn't the most exciting fantasy option, but he's worth a look in deeper formats given his role and production.

6m agoSwanson (knee) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, 10-inning win over Atlanta.
Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games. Swanson should still see regular playing time moving forward despite his struggles, and he's talented enough to heat up in a hurry.

11m agoCrochet (5-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing two hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six scoreless innings.
Crochet has tossed 17 consecutive scoreless innings and earned a victory in each of his last four starts. While he fanned fewer than six batters for the first time in five starts, the 25-year-old retired the first 13 batters he faced. Since his ERA peaked at 6.37 on April 24, Crochet has yielded three runs over 28.0 innings to lower his ERA to 3.75 overall. He's lined up to close out the two-start week Sunday against the Orioles.

12m agoLittle (1-0) tossed a scoreless 10th inning out of the bullpen to pick up the win in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over Atlanta.
Little was the sixth Chicago pitcher to enter the contest, and the lefty was effective despite starting his frame with a runner on second. This was the 23-year-old's first win in the majors in his 21st career appearance. Little is still a fairly low-leverage reliever at this point, which leaves him with limited fantasy appeal.

43m agoKeith went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Royals.
While the Tigers struggled as a team, Keith continued to roll. The rookie is batting a robust .441 over his last 10 contests and he's recorded three or more hits in a game three times already this month. Keith came into May batting just .154 but he's pushed that up to .230, and the 22-year-old has a prospect pedigree that suggests he'll be able to sustain this level of play.

Kristaps Porzingis BOS CCeltics' Kristaps Porzingis: Targeting Game 4 return
3h agoPorzingis (calf) won't play in Thursday's Game 2 against the Pacers but could return as soon as Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 27, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Porzingis has already been ruled out for Game 1 on Tuesday and seems set to miss at least the next two games of the series. In Porzingis' absence, Al Horford should continue to start at center for Boston, with Luke Kornet receiving extended playing time off the bench.

Conley continues to deal with a right soleus strain but has suited up in each of Minnesota's last two contests. The veteran guard played 38 minutes in Game 7 against Denver, so he will likely be set for a full workload if he's upgraded to available.

Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.

7h agoKral inked a one-year, two-way deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
The Maple Leafs originally drafted Kral under now-Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas, so his addition to the organization shouldn't be a complete surprise. The 24-year-old defenseman had five goals and 37 points in 46 contests with the Pelicans in Finland's top league. He struggled to show that level of offensive upside in previous AHL stints, so fantasy players probably don't need to jump on Kral even in dynasty formats.

7h agoGruden penned a two-year, two-way contract with the Penguins on Tuesday.
Gruden played in just 13 games at the NHL level this season in which he generated one goal on nine shots, 35 hits and five blocks while averaging 8:40 of ice time. At this point, the youngster will be hard-pressed to break into the 23-man roster full-time next season but should see his fair share of call-ups throughout the campaign.

St. Ivany managed just one point in his 14 NHL appearances this season while averaging 13:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old blueliner is likely a long shot to make the 23-man roster for Opening Night this fall but should be atop the list of potential call-ups throughout the year.

Flames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
8h agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.

10h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.

At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.
