Le'Raven Clark PHI OT
Eagles' Le'Raven Clark: Placed on IR
1m agoThe Eagles placed Clark on injured reserve Friday.
It is unclear what Clark's injury is or how he sustained it, but he is a rare offseason addition to IR. This will allow the Eagles' some roster flexibility going forward. The journeyman failed to make a roster or practice squad during the 2023 season, but will look to bounce back once his health is back up to par.
-
Tyler Harrell 2005 WR
Jets' Tyler Harrell: Joins Jets
15m agoThe Jets signed Harrell on Friday, Ethan Greenberg and John Pullano of the team's official site report.
Harrell totaled four receptions for 45 yards as a sixth-year senior at Miami in 2023. The Jets are thin at wide receiver going into 2024, so he could be in the competition for the last few spots on their final depth chart.
-
Shi Smith KC WR
Shi Smith: Done in Kansas City
22m agoThe Chiefs waived Smith on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith did not appear in a regular-season game in 2023, and now Kansas City has decided to let him go ahead of 2024. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different squad.
-
Anthony Miller KC WR
Anthony Miller: Let go by Chiefs
27m agoKansas City released Miller on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Miller initially signed with the Chiefs back in January, but after using both free agency and the draft to add depth at wide receiver, Kansas City has now chosen to part ways with him. He hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since 2021.
-
Kendall Milton 2005 RB
Eagles' Kendall Milton: Going to Philly
39m agoThe Eagles signed Milton on Friday, Owen Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Being passed over in the draft could not stop Milton from becoming the latest installment in Philadelphia's love affair with former Georgia Bulldogs. He carries a frame that could sustain rushing volume at the next level, but he lacks top-end speed and is unproven as a pass-catcher.
-
Jordan Travis NYJ QB
Jets' Jordan Travis: Should be ready for training camp
3h agoTravis, who is bouncing back from an ankle injury that he suffered last November, should be cleared for training camp, per coach Robert Saleh, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
At this stage, Travis -- who the Jets took in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft -- continues to rebound from ankle surgery, with Cimini noting that the young QB was spotted riding a stationary bike during part of the practice that took place Friday at the start of the team's rookie minicamp. Early on in his pro career, Travis is slated to work behind the veteran duo of Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) and Tyrod Taylor, but when healthy, the Florida State product profiles as dual-threat signal-caller with intriguing playmaking ability for the Jets to develop.
-
Blake Treinen LAD RP
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Could return for homestand
6m agoDodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Treinen (chest) could be activated from the 15-day injured list during the weekend series against Atlanta, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Treinen appeared in back-to-back games with Triple-A Oklahoma on Wednesday and Thursday, allowing one hit over two frames while striking out three over that span. Treinen's return to the Dodgers' bullpen would be welcome one with Joe Kelly dealing with a right groin injury.
-
Lawrence Butler OAK RF
Athletics' Lawrence Butler: Sits down against lefty
8m agoButler isn't in Oakland's lineup for Friday's game against Miami.
The lefty-hitting Butler will retreat to the bench Friday as Ryan Weathers prepares to start on the bump for the Marlins. Tyler Nevin will replace Butler in right field and bat second.

10m agoBleday isn't in Oakland's lineup for Friday's game against the Marlins.
With lefty Ryan Weathers set to toe the slab for Miami, Bleday will step out of the lineup. Esteury Ruiz will take over in center field and bat in the leadoff spot.
-
Clayton Kershaw LAD SP
Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw: Throws BP session
11m agoKershaw (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
Kershaw's bullpen session was the first time the veteran southpaw has thrown since undergoing offseason shoulder surgery. He's not expected to return until after the All-Star break, but it's another positive step in his rehab program.
-
Seth Brown OAK LF
Athletics' Seth Brown: Resting against lefty
13m agoBrown isn't in the Athletics' lineup Friday against the Marlins.
Left-hander Ryan Weathers will take the mound Friday for Miami, meaning the left-handed bat of Brown will stay put in Oakland's dugout. Max Schuemann will fill the opening in left field and bat seventh.
-
Jason Heyward LAD RF
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Begins baseball activities
18m agoDodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Heyward (back) ran at full speed and has begun swinging a bat, J.P. Hoornstra of DodgersNation.com reports.
Heyward landed on the 10-day IL on April 3 due to lower back tightness. The injury persisted well past his return window, and Friday marked the firs time that the veteran outfielder has participated in any sort of activity. The Dodgers will have a better idea on how to move forward once they see how Heyward's back responds to his most recent work.
-

Cavaliers' Isaac Okoro: Heads to bench
1h agoOkoro isn't in the starting lineup for Friday's Game 6 against the Magic.
Okoro will be replaced by Marcus Morris in the starting five, while Jarrett Allen (hip) misses a second consecutive contest. -
Gary Harris ORL SG
Magic's Gary Harris: Ruled out
1h agoHarris (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's Game 6 against the Cavaliers, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.
Harris will miss his first game of the series due to a right hamstring strain he suffered during Game 5. Jonathan Isaac will start in Harris' absence, but Markelle Fultz and Cole Anthony are also candidates for increased roles.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Won't play Friday
1h agoAllen (ribs) is out for Friday's Game 6 against the Magic.

-

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Deemed questionable for Game 1
2h agoMurray (calf) is listed as questionable for Saturday's Game 1 against the Timberwolves.
Murray has been in and out of Denver's practices this week but was able to play in all five of Denver's first-round games against the Lakers. Murray averaged 39.8 minutes per contest against Los Angeles, and his calf is feeling even better heading into Saturday's matchup, Harrison Wind of TheDNVR.com reports.

-

1h agoSmith (upper body) will not play Friday against the Canucks.

-

Saros turned away 19 of 20 shots in Tuesday's win to force Game 6. Through five games this series, he's allowed only 11 goals but it's come with a lackluster .879 save percentage. To avoid elimination, Saros will need to earn consecutive wins for the first time since April 4 and 7.
-

3h agoDiPietro was reassigned to AHL Providence on Friday, per Mark Divver of the New England Hockey Journal.
DiPietro was summoned Tuesday so the Bruins would have a third goaltender on their playoff roster. He might be recalled ahead of Game 7 on Saturday against Toronto to continue to serve that function. DiPietro hasn't played for Boston in the regular season or playoffs in 2023-24, but he did record a 2.51 GAA and a .918 save percentage in 30 regular-season outings with Providence.

Guhle finished the 2023-24 season with six goals, 22 points, 56 PIM, 116 hits and 178 blocks in 70 contests with Montreal. He served in a top-four capacity with the Canadiens, and the 22-year-old should act in a similar capacity for the franchise next campaign.
