Packers' Kitan Oladapo: Undergoes toe surgery
2m agoOladapo (toe) has undergone surgery and is not expected to be ready for OTAs, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Although he will miss OTAs, the team remains optimistic that Clark will be ready for training camp. He suffered a stress fracture doing drills on the turf at the NFL combine. The rookie was the third safety selected by the Packers in the 2024 NFL Draft, following Xavier McKinney and Anthony Johnson. The Oregon State product will need to get his health back to bar in order to make an impression during training camp.

Le'Raven Clark PHI OT
Eagles' Le'Raven Clark: Placed on IR
6m agoThe Eagles placed Clark on injured reserve Friday.
It is unclear what Clark's injury is or how he sustained it, but he is a rare offseason addition to IR. This will allow the Eagles' some roster flexibility going forward. The journeyman failed to make a roster or practice squad during the 2023 season, but will look to bounce back once his health is back up to par.
-
Tyler Harrell 2005 WR
Jets' Tyler Harrell: Joins Jets
20m agoThe Jets signed Harrell on Friday, Ethan Greenberg and John Pullano of the team's official site report.
Harrell totaled four receptions for 45 yards as a sixth-year senior at Miami in 2023. The Jets are thin at wide receiver going into 2024, so he could be in the competition for the last few spots on their final depth chart.
-
Shi Smith KC WR
Shi Smith: Done in Kansas City
27m agoThe Chiefs waived Smith on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Smith did not appear in a regular-season game in 2023, and now Kansas City has decided to let him go ahead of 2024. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different squad.
-
Anthony Miller KC WR
Anthony Miller: Let go by Chiefs
31m agoKansas City released Miller on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Miller initially signed with the Chiefs back in January, but after using both free agency and the draft to add depth at wide receiver, Kansas City has now chosen to part ways with him. He hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since 2021.
-
Kendall Milton 2005 RB
Eagles' Kendall Milton: Going to Philly
44m agoThe Eagles signed Milton on Friday, Owen Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Being passed over in the draft could not stop Milton from becoming the latest installment in Philadelphia's love affair with former Georgia Bulldogs. He carries a frame that could sustain rushing volume at the next level, but he lacks top-end speed and is unproven as a pass-catcher.
-
Darren McCaughan MIA RP
Marlins' Darren McCaughan: Recalled by Miami
1m agoThe Marlins recalled McCaughan from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.
McCaughan was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville during spring training. He has a 1-2 record over five starts in the minors, posting a 6.14 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB over 22 frames. Right-hander Bryan Hoeing (hamstring) was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move.

Brock Stewart MIN RP
Twins' Brock Stewart: Lands on IL
5m agoThe Twins placed Stewart on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder tendinitis.
Stewart's scoreless streak came to an end during Wednesday's win over the White Sox, as he allowed a home run to Korey Lee in the seventh inning. He'll now miss at least the next two weeks due to his shoulder, leaving Minnesota without one of its most dominant relievers through the first month of the season. Kody Funderburk was recalled from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move.

Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Could return for homestand
11m agoDodgers manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Treinen (chest) could be activated from the 15-day injured list during the weekend series against Atlanta, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Treinen appeared in back-to-back games with Triple-A Oklahoma on Wednesday and Thursday, allowing one hit over two frames while striking out three over that span. Treinen's return to the Dodgers' bullpen would be welcome one with Joe Kelly dealing with a right groin injury.
