Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
7h agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
1d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Wanya Morris KC OT
Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
1d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
1d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

T.J. Hockenson MIN TE
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: No timetable for return
1d agoHockenson (knee) said "they haven't really put a timeline on it" when asked Wednesday about a potential date for his in-season return to action, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Hockenson was specifically asked on the NFL Schedule Release '24 show whether he expects to be playing Week 5 versus the Jets in London. The standout tight end said of his recovery from a right ACL and MCL tear he's "kinda taking it day by day, week by week," and that "the progression has been incredible" even though a specific return timetable remains uncertain. Hockenson underwent surgery late January and doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 1, but Week 5 could be within the realm of possibility. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, however, so it's possible that a more realistic target for Hockenson's debut could be Week 7 and beyond.

Najee Harris PIT RB
Steelers' Najee Harris: Dropping weight for contract season
2d agoHarris' trainer said Friday the running back has dropped to around 235 pounds this offseason after playing at 242 during the 2023 season, and that he's increasingly motivated after the Steelers declined his fifth-year option, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.
Harris is heading into the final season of his rookie deal with Pittsburgh, so there's no doubt about his motivation to log a productive year and earn sizeable payday for 2025. Playing at a lower weight could help Harris' efficiency metrics, and there's also some reason to be optimistic that he now finds himself in a better scenario than 2023, when he set new career-high marks with eight rushing touchdowns and 4.1 YPC. Rookie first-round pick Troy Fautanu should represent an upgrade to the O-line, and while there are question marks surrounding Russell Wilson and Justin Fields, both have the potential to command a more effective offense than Kenny Pickett did. Harris is capable of handling 20-plus touches but also dependent on volume to produce, making the emergence of Jaylen Warren the biggest threat to his fantasy prospects.

Gunnar Henderson BAL SS
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Slugs league-leading 14th homer
1h agoHenderson went 1-for-3 with his major league-leading 14th home run in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Mariners.
Not only was it flamethrowing reliever Andres Munoz who Henderson took deep in the ninth inning, but he did so to the opposite field and over the 13-foot wall in left field in an impressive showing of power. It cut the Mariners' lead to one at the time, but that was as close as the Orioles would get. It was the second game in a row with a homer for Henderson, who also drew a pair of walks Saturday.
-
Andres Munoz SEA RP
Mariners' Andres Munoz: Nails down save No. 8
1h agoMunoz allowed a run but hung on to notch his eighth save of the season in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Orioles.
Gunnar Henderson made things interesting with a two-out, solo home run, but Munoz quickly bounced back in setting down Adley Rutschman swinging to end it. Henderson's long ball represents the only run Munoz has allowed over his last 10 appearances, and he boasts a 15:1 K:BB over 12 innings during that span.
-
Grayson Rodriguez BAL SP
Orioles' Grayson Rodriguez: Dazzles in return from injured list
1h agoRodriguez didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Mariners, yielding just one hit and three walks over six shutout innings. He recorded seven strikeouts.
Rodriguez missed a little more than two weeks with right shoulder inflammation and made his return Saturday without going out on a rehab assignment first. He certainly showed that he didn't need one, as didn't give up his first and only hit on the night until there was one out in the sixth inning (and even that was just an infield single). Rodriguez was limited to just 82 pitches in his first start back, but he still managed to complete six frames because he was so efficient. The righty displayed his normal velocity and induced 13 swinging strikes on his 82 pitches. Rodriguez missed out on a win after the Orioles' bullpen struggled, but he looked as good as his fantasy managers could have hoped for.
-
Luis Castillo SEA SP
Mariners' Luis Castillo: Mixed bag in no-decision
2h agoCastillo did not factor into the decision Saturday in Baltimore, permitting two runs on four hits and four walks over six innings. He struck out two.
The four walks were a season high and the two strikeouts were by far a season low for Castillo. He still managed a seven straight quality start, though, keeping his team in it before the Mariners' offense rallied late. It's the first no-decision of the season for Castillo, who is just 4-5 in spite of a 3.28 ERA, including a 2.01 mark across his last seven outings.
-
Kevin Gausman TOR SP
Blue Jays' Kevin Gausman: Tosses quality start Saturday
2h agoGausman came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-4 loss to the Rays, giving up three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.
The veteran right-hander cruised through five innings before running into trouble in the sixth and allowing all three of his runs. It was a solid bounce-back effort for Gausman after he got tagged for seven runs (six earned) in his last outing, and the quality start was his third of the season. He'll take a 4.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 43:11 K:BB through 42.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road next week in Detroit.
-
Jonny DeLuca TB CF
Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Leads comeback win
2h agoDeLuca went 1-for-4 with a walk, a two-run home run, a second run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Blue Jays.
After drawing a walk and coming around to score in the sixth inning as part of a three-run rally that got the Rays on the board, DeLuca turned on a 97.3 mph fastball from Nate Pearson in the eighth inning and launched it over the left-field fence for the game-winning hit. DeLuca has begun to see his playing time slip as Tampa Bay's roster has gotten healthier, but through 15 games this season he still sports a .300/.404/.550 slash line with two homers, three steals, six runs and 12 RBI.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Questionable for Sunday
5h agoConley (Achilles) is questionable for Sunday's Game 7 against Denver.
After missing Game 5 with this same injury, Conley played in Game 6 on Thursday and finished with 13 points, five assists, four rebounds and one block in 31 minutes. With Minnesota's season on the line, Conley will likely attempt to power through the issue again.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Available Saturday
5h agoDoncic (knee) is available for Saturday's Game 6 against the Thunder.
Doncic has been pushing through questionable and probable tags throughout the playoffs with various injuries, but he's yet to miss a single game. Look for him to see his usual workload Saturday.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Questionable for Sunday
6h agoMurray is questionable to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves due to a left calf strain.
Murray has been listed as questionable throughout the entire series, but that's not surprising, as the star point guard has been dealing with a left calf strain since the end of Denver's first-round series against the Lakers. The Nuggets may need Murray to be at his best if they want to win Sunday, as he's coming off a woeful showing in the Game 6 loss on Thursday, scoring 10 points while shooting 4-for-18 from the field.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Upgraded to questionable
6h agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's Game 7 against the Pacers.
The questionable tag is all there is to work with right now in terms of specifics, but New York fans will be thrilled that there's a chance Anunoby is able play for the first time since Game 2. There should be additional clarity on Anunoby's status following the Sunday morning shootaround.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Iffy for Game 7 with abdominal strain
6h agoHart suffered an abdominal strain during Friday's Game 6 against Indiana, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. He's officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Game 7.
Hart exited Friday's Game 6 early with abdominal soreness, and further testing indicated that Hart's dealing with a strained abdomen. Even if Hart gets the green light, it's unlikely that he'd be at 100 percent considering the recency of the issue. If the 28-year-old can't go, expect Miles McBride. Alec Burks and Precious Achiuwa to see more minutes.
-
Doug McDermott IND SF
Pacers' Doug McDermott: Cracks rotation in victory
17h agoMcDermott supplied zero points (0-1 FG) in three minutes during Friday's 116-103 victory over the Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
McDermott played three minutes to close the game Friday, at which point the Pacers had the game sealed up. Having played a total of just 19 minutes in the series, it's safe to say that McDermott is not going to play a role in determining the outcome of what has been a fantastic series between two bitter rivals.
-
Zach Hyman EDM C
Oilers' Zach Hyman: Scores 10th goal of postseason
2m agoHyman scored a goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6.
Hyman snapped a three-game slump with his second-period tally, which ended up being the game-winner. It was perhaps a short-term regression for the winger, who scored nine times over the first six contests this postseason before the skid. He's at 10 goals, two assists, 45 shots on net, 29 hits and a plus-5 rating through 11 appearances in the playoffs.
-
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins EDM C
Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Collects three points in Game 6
4m agoNugent-Hopkins scored a goal, dished two assists, added two hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6.
Nugent-Hopkins earned his first multi-point effort in five outings. He assisted on goals by Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard in the second period before scoring one of his own in the third. Through 11 playoff contests, Nugent-Hopkins has three goals, 11 assists, 14 shots on net, 20 hits and a plus-3 rating. He's played the last two games alongside Connor McDavid, which gives Nugent-Hopkins some significant DFS upside if he stays in that spot for Game 7 on Monday.
-
Thatcher Demko VAN G
Canucks' Thatcher Demko: Ruled out for Game 7
6m agoHead coach Rick Tocchet said Demko (knee) will not play in Monday's Game 7 versus the Oilers, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Demko was believed to have a chance to return during the second round, but this will eliminate that possibility. The Canucks will instead entrust either Arturs Silovs or Casey DeSmith in a must-win game with a trip to the Western Conference Finals on the line. Demko will have missed 12 straight contests after Monday, and there's been no indication at what point he might be available if the Canucks are able to extend their playoff run.
-
Evan Bouchard EDM D
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Racks up three points in win
10m agoBouchard scored a goal on two shots, added two assists, went plus-4 and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6.
Bouchard had a point in each period as he earned his third multi-point effort over six games in the second round. The defenseman has been excellent with five goals, 13 helpers, 37 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 11 playoff outings. Even more impressively, Bouchard has held his own defensively, though he's also clearly benefiting from playing alongside Mattias Ekholm on the top pairing.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Lightly tested in win
12m agoSkinner stopped 14 of 15 shots in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6.
Skinner was benched for the previous two games, but he was back between the pipes with the Oilers' season on the line. The Canucks came out flat, leaving Skinner with little work to do as he snagged the win and forced Game 7. The 25-year-old is 6-3 in the playoffs, but he's given up three or more goals in six of his appearances. Securing the win Saturday makes it likely he'll start in the win-or-go-home contest Monday in Vancouver.
-
Ilya Mikheyev VAN RW
Canucks' Ilya Mikheyev: Out Saturday
8h agoMikheyev (undisclosed) isn't expected to play Saturday against Edmonton in Game 6, per Thomas Drance of The Athletic.
Mikheyev also missed Thursday's 3-2 Game 5 victory over the Oilers. He has no points, a minus-4 rating, 11 shots, nine hits and three blocks in 10 playoff contests this year. Mikheyev's continued absence will likely result in Vasily Podkolzin remaining in the lineup for the second straight game.
