Tre Flowers ATL CB
Jaguars' Tre Flowers: Joins Jaguars
21m agoJacksonville signed Flowers on Thursday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Flowers suited up for all 17 games with the Falcons in 2023. Now he's signing with his fourth team in as many years. The Jaguars are thin at cornerback behind Tyson Campbell and Ronald Darby, so Flowers could push for a significant role in 2024.

Dee Delaney TB DB
Bills' Dee Delaney: Signs with Buffalo
27m agoThe Bills signed Delaney on Thursday, Nick Wojton of BillsWire.com reports.
With Jordan Poyer having been poached by Miami and Micah Hyde eyeing retirement, Buffalo is understandably scrambling to restock at safety ahead of next season. Delaney recorded 25 tackles (17 solo) and two interceptions with Tampa Bay last year.

Kellen Diesch CLE OT
Kellen Diesch: Fails physical
32m agoCleveland waived Diesch (undisclosed) with a failed physical designation Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Diesch signed with the Browns on Tuesday, but he's already done with the team after failing a physical. He'll now have to look for another opportunity to make an impression with a different team.

Brady Christensen CAR OG
Panthers' Brady Christensen: Getting reps at center
35m agoChristensen took snaps at center during voluntary workouts last week, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports.
Christensen had been working his way back from a bicep tear he sustained in Week 1 last season, but he's now apparently back in football shape. He could compete with Austin Corbett for Carolina's starting center job in 2024.

Adetokunbo Ogundeji ATL LB
Adetokunbo Ogundeji: Done with Falcons
43m agoAtlanta waived Ogundeji on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Ogundeji spent the 2023 season on the Falcons' injured reserve list with a foot issue, and now Atlanta is parting ways with him. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different club.

DeAngelo Hardy BAL WR
De'Angelo Hardy: Done in Baltimore
1h agoThe Ravens waived Hardy on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hardy was picked up by Baltimore less than two weeks ago, but he's now already on the way out. He'll have to look for his next opportunity to make an impression with a different franchise.

Emmet Sheehan LAD SP
Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Undergoes Tommy John surgery
9m agoSheehan had season-ending right elbow UCL surgery Wednesday.
Sheehan was trying to work his way back from a forearm injury that he suffered in mid-March. However, the 24-year-old was not able to respond the way the Dodgers had hoped. The righty was then shut down from throwing April 14 and will now officially be out the remainder of the season.
-
Andy Pages LAD RF
Dodgers' Andy Pages: Day off Thursday
23m agoPages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.
Pages has struck out six times in his last nine at-bats, so the Dodgers will give him a chance to regroup Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will shift to right field as a result, allowing Chris Taylor to pick up a start in left while batting seventh.
-
Max Muncy LAD 3B
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Idle against lefty
27m agoMuncy isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.
With left-hander Brent Suter set to open Thursday's game for the Reds, Muncy will retreat to the bench. While he sits, Enrique Hernandez will man the hot corner and bat fifth.
-
Will Smith LAD C
Dodgers' Will Smith: Gets breather Thursday
29m agoSmith isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game versus Cincinnati.
After going 5-for-12 with three RBI and two runs scored during the Dodgers' last series with the Giants, Smith will get a day off during Thursday's series opener. Austin Barnes will take his place behind the dish and bat ninth.
-
Stuart Fairchild CIN CF
Reds' Stuart Fairchild: Sits down Thursday
1h agoFairchild isn't in the Reds' lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.
Fairchild has gone 3-for-16 with a home run, three RBI and three runs scored since the beginning of May. He will sit on the bench for the third game in a row Thursday while Conner Capel, Will Benson and Jake Fraley man the outfield.
-
Jonathan India CIN 2B
Reds' Jonathan India: Sitting again Thursday
1h agoIndia (migraine) isn't in the Reds' lineup for Thurdsay's game against the Dodgers.
A migraine caused India to be a late scratch from Wednesday's lineup, and it appears to be bothering him enough to hold him out again Thursday. Santiago Espinal will get the nod at second base instead and bat eighth.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Ruled out for Game 6
1h agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's Game 6 versus Indiana, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
As expected, Anunoby will not be available for Game 6, and considering he's still been limited to light, on-court work, it's unlikely he'd be available for Game 7 if one is required. Miles McBride, Precious Achiuwa and Alec Burks will help pick up the slack in Anunoby's absence.

Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Likely to play Thursday
4h agoConley (Achilles) is expected to play in Thursday's Game 6 against the Nuggets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Conley is expected to return to action Thursday after missing Game 5 with right Achilles soreness. If the veteran guard is ultimately upgraded from questionable to available, he will likely reclaim his starting spot from Nickeil Alexander-Walker.
-
Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Present at shootaround
6h agoConley (Achilles) is at Minnesota's shootaround ahead of Thursday's Game 6 against Denver, Chris Hine of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
Conley is listed as questionable for Thursday's contest after missing Game 5 with right Achilles soreness. While Conley's presence at shootaround is a good sign of his availability, the veteran guard was also at shootaround ahead of Game 5 before being ruled out.
-
Luguentz Dort OKC SF
Thunder's Luguentz Dort: Stuffs stat sheet in Game 5 defeat
6h agoDort finished with 12 points (4-11 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 104-92 loss to the Mavericks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Dort didn't have his best shooting performance and was particularly woeful from three-point range, but he still delivered decent fantasy value due to his ability to fill the stat sheet. Dort will need to be better Saturday, as the Thunder will try to avoid elimination in a pivotal Game 6 in Dallas, but the odds are against him. Through five games in the series, Dort is averaging just 10.4 points while shooting a meager 31.4 percent from the field.
-
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OKC SG
Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Impressive outing not enough
7h agoGilgeous-Alexander racked up 30 points (12-22 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 43 minutes during Wednesday's 104-92 loss to Dallas in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Whether the Thunder struggle offensively or not, Gilgeous-Alexander will always get the job done. Unfortunately, he couldn't do everything on his own Wednesday, and he came up short of carrying OKC to a Game 5 victory despite filling out the stat sheet admirably. With the Thunder's back against the wall, Gilgeous-Alexander will need to be at his best on Saturday, as the Thunder will aim to avoid an early playoff exit on the road in Game 6. The star floor general is averaging 31.4 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game in the current series against Dallas while riding a four-game streak of appearances with 30 or more points.
-
Derrick Jones Jr. DAL SF
Mavericks' Derrick Jones: Steps up offensively in win
7h agoJones had 19 points (7-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 104-92 win over Oklahoma City in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
The Mavericks needed someone to step up offensively due to P.J. Washington's cold shooting and Kyrie Irving's struggles throughout the series, and Jones embraced that role to deliver a playoff-best scoring mark. Jones has scored in double digits in back-to-back contests, setting him up for having a solid role Saturday in Game 6. He's averaging 9.8 points per game in the current postseason run.
-
Frederik Andersen CAR G
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Tending twine in Game 6
2m agoAndersen will guard the home goal versus the Rangers in Thursday's Game 6, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Andersen has won his last two outings, allowing four goals on 46 shots in those contests. He is 6-3 with a 2.46 GAA and a .902 save percentage over nine playoff outings, and he has yet to lose on home ice this postseason. A win Thursday for Andersen and hte Hurricanes would force a Game 7 on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.
-
Dylan Garand NYR G
Rangers' Dylan Garand: Summoned from AHL
2m agoGarand was called up from AHL Hartford on Thursday.
Garand had a 3.03 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 39 regular-season contests with Hartford. He also posted a 2.32 GAA and a .931 save percentage in seven AHL playoff outings. Garand is unlikely to play for the Rangers during the 2024 playoffs.
-
Blake Wheeler NYR RW
Rangers' Blake Wheeler: Lifted from LTIR
21m agoWheeler (leg) was activated from long-term injured reserve Thursday, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
It's not a clear-cut guarantee Wheeler will be in the lineup for Thursday's Game 6, but the 37-year-old is now eligible to return from a three-month absence. Wheeler was cleared for contact Monday, and it appears he's gotten in enough practice time to be an option for the Rangers as they look to close out the Hurricanes in the second round.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Unlikely to return in second round
33m agoHakanpaa is not traveling with the Stars or practicing, so it's unlikely he'll play in the remainder of the second round, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reported Thursday.
Hakanpaa has been unavailable since March 16 and is effectively out on an indefinite basis until he practices. With Hakanpaa continuing to be sidelined, Nils Lundkvist is holding down a third-pairing role with minimal ice time.
-
Tyler Seguin DAL C
Stars' Tyler Seguin: Deemed fine after Game 5
36m agoSeguin (lower body) is considered fine after exiting Wednesday's Game 5 versus the Avalanche late in the third period, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Seguin should be available for Friday's Game 6. The 32-year-old played on the third line Wednesday, but he could see more ice time than that role would suggest if Roope Hintz (upper body) is unable to suit up Friday.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Drawing close to return
3h agoHenrique (ankle) will miss Thursday's Game 5 against Vancouver, but he is close to returning, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.
Henrique also wasn't in the lineup for Edmonton's previous two contests. He has a goal and an assist in six playoff outings this year after finishing the regular season with 24 markers and 51 points across 82 appearances. His next opportunity to play will be in Game 6 on Saturday.
