Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
16m agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though we'll also note he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
21h agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
2d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
2d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
2d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

T.J. Hockenson MIN TE
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: No timetable for return
2d agoHockenson (knee) said "they haven't really put a timeline on it" when asked Wednesday about a potential date for his in-season return to action, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Hockenson was specifically asked on the NFL Schedule Release '24 show whether he expects to be playing Week 5 versus the Jets in London. The standout tight end said of his recovery from a right ACL and MCL tear he's "kinda taking it day by day, week by week," and that "the progression has been incredible" even though a specific return timetable remains uncertain. Hockenson underwent surgery late January and doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 1, but Week 5 could be within the realm of possibility. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, however, so it's possible that a more realistic target for Hockenson's debut could be Week 7 and beyond.

Brett Harris OAK 3B
Athletics' Brett Harris: On bench Sunday
12m agoHarris is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Kansas City.
Harris will sit for the fourth time in Oakland's past six contests after he started the previous 11 games. Abraham Toro will take over at the hot corner and bat leadoff.
-
Mitch Garver SEA DH
Mariners' Mitch Garver: Not in Sunday's lineup
19m agoGarver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Garver started the first two games of the series after missing the previous two contests with back spasms, and he'll sit for Sunday's finale. Cal Raleigh will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Seby Zavala starts behind the plate.
-
Ty France SEA 1B
Mariners' Ty France: Out of Sunday's lineup
23m agoFrance is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
France has a .653 OPS through 15 games in May and will take a seat for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore. Luke Raley will step in at first base and bat cleanup.
-
Landon Knack LAD SP
Dodgers' Landon Knack: Promoted, starting Sunday
37m agoKnack was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City and is starting Sunday against the Reds.
The right-hander spent nearly the past three weeks in the minors but will rejoin the Dodgers for Sunday's series finale. Knack has a 2.81 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 11:5 K:BB across 16 innings through three big-league starts this season, and he could be headed back to Triple-A after the contest.
-
Jose Siri TB CF
Rays' Jose Siri: Not in Sunday's lineup
1h agoSiri is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.
Siri started three of the previous four games and will head to the bench after going 2-for-9 with a walk, an RBI, two runs and four strikeouts. Jonny DeLuca will start in center field and bat seventh in Sunday's series finale.
-
Amed Rosario TB RF
Rays' Amed Rosario: Heading to bench Sunday
1h agoRosario is out of the lineup for Sunday's game at Toronto.
Rosario started the first two games of the series but will take a seat Sunday after going 3-for-9 with two RBI and three strikeouts. Richie Palacios will man the keystone in the series finale.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: Trending toward playing
1h agoHart, who's officially listed as questionable due to an abdomen strain, is on course to play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Pacers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Hart sustained the injury during Game 6 on Friday, but it looks like he'll give it a go during the deciding Game 7. Although the 28-year-old has been playing 40-plus minutes in close games throughout the playoffs, he may have his minutes monitored Sunday due to the injury. An official decision on Hart's availability will be made closer to the 3:30 ET tipoff.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: On track to play
1h agoAnunoby, who's officially listed as questionable due to a left hamstring strain, is on course to play in Sunday's Game 7 against Indiana, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
The Knicks could have Anunoby, who's missed the last four games, and Josh Hart (abdomen) available for the deciding Game 7. While the pair are trending toward playing, their availability won't be made official until closer to the 3:30 ET tip. If Anunoby goes, Precious Achiuwa would likely see less work and Jericho Sims could be pushed out of the rotation. Considering Anunoby hasn't played since May 8, he could be under a minutes restriction Sunday.

Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Triples-doubles in Game 6 win
14h agoDoncic racked up 29 points (9-15 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT), 10 rebounds, 10 assists and two steals over 45 minutes during Saturday's 117-116 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Doncic did just enough to get his team over the line, recording his third straight triple-double despite dealing with multiple injuries. Heading into the Western Conference Finals, Dallas will be hoping that Doncic can continue to play through his ailments. With a physical matchup almost certainly in the cards, Doncic is simply going to have to absorb any contact that might come his way while trying to maintain his composure.

Derrick Jones Jr. DAL SF
Mavericks' Derrick Jones: Pours in 22 points Saturday
14h agoJones totaled 22 points (8-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 40 minutes during Saturday's 117-116 victory over Oklahoma City in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Jones scored at least 17 points for the third straight game, playing a season-high 40 minutes as the Mavericks took care of business in front of their home fans. Jones' offensive output has been a blessing for the Mavericks, providing them with another viable scoring threat alongside Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic. Coming up against either the Nuggets or the Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals is a daunting task. If Dallas is to pose a serious threat, Jones may need to maintain his offensive momentum.
-
Dereck Lively II DAL C
Mavericks' Dereck Lively: Stands tall in victory
14h agoLively had 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 FT), 15 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Saturday's 117-116 victory over the Thunder in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Lively continues to play well above his age, producing when it mattered most as the Mavericks eliminated the Thunder. Despite coming off the bench, Lively played the majority of the center minutes, recording his second straight double-double. Dallas will face either the Timberwolves or the Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, and either team will provide Lively with elite opposition at the center position.
-
Kenrich Williams OKC SG
Thunder's Kenrich Williams: Back in rotation Saturday
14h agoWilliams provided two points (1-1 FG) and one rebound across three minutes during Saturday's 117-116 loss to the Mavericks in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Williams played for just the second time in the past five games, logging four minutes as Luguentz Dort was benched due to foul trouble. Despite a somewhat fantasy-friendly game, Williams is nothing more than a depth piece for a Thunder team with high aspirations heading into next season. There is no reason to think he will play a significant role moving forward.

Jesper Fast CAR RW
Hurricanes' Jesper Fast: Still in neck brace
2h agoFast (neck) was still wearing a neck brace Saturday while he continues to undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Fast was unavailable during the playoffs after suffering the injury in Carolina's regular-season finale April 16. The 32-year-old winger tallied six goals and 19 points in 73 regular-season games in a bottom-six role. Once the severity of his injury is diagnosed, Fast will focus on getting back to full health ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Filip Hronek VAN D
Canucks' Filip Hronek: Offers helper Saturday
14h agoHronek notched an assist, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hronek has been a non-factor on offense this postseason, posting one helper, a minus-4 rating and 11 shots on net through 12 appearances. He's added 23 hits and 15 blocked shots while maintaining a top-pairing role.
-
Elias Pettersson VAN C
Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Notches assist in loss
14h agoPettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Pettersson has earned two helpers in the last two games but still hasn't been living up to expectations offensively during the playoffs. He's at six points, 20 shots, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 12 appearances. However, he's looked slightly better since moving to the wing alongside Elias Lindholm.
-
Nils Hoglander VAN LW
Canucks' Nils Hoglander: Nets lone goal in loss
14h agoHoglander scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hoglander offered a quick response to Dylan Holloway's opening tally in the first period, but the Canucks' offense stalled out after that. The goal was Hoglander's first this postseason, and he's added just one assist with eight shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating over 10 appearances. The winger has been listed on the second line recently, but he's played a limited role with no power-play time, so there's little reason to think he'll soon turn a corner on offense.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Falters in Game 6
14h agoSilovs allowed five goals on 27 shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Silovs had his worst outing of the playoffs, squandering the Canucks' first chance to book a spot in the Western Conference Finals. The team in front of him was flat as well, registering a meager 15 shots on net, which is low even by its unimpressive shot volume for the postseason (21.1 shots per game). Silovs is 5-4 with a 2.89 GAA and an .898 save percentage through nine playoff outings. He's alternated wins and losses in the second round, but it's unclear if he'll get the nod at home for Game 7 on Monday or if head coach Rick Tocchet will turn to Casey DeSmith.
-
Leon Draisaitl EDM C
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Keeps rolling with two helpers
14h agoDraisaitl produced two assists, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6.
Draisaitl set up the Oilers' first and last goals, scored by Dylan Holloway and Evander Kane, respectively. The pair of helpers extended Draisaitl's playoff point streak to 11 contests, during which he has eight goals and 15 assists. He's added 42 shots on net, 10 PIM and a plus-2 rating this postseason. Draisaitl also became the third-fastest player in NHL history to 100 playoff points, doing so in just 60 appearances. Only Wayne Gretzky (46 games) and Mario Lemieux (50 games) did it faster.
