Mack Hollins BUF WR
Bills' Mack Hollins: More competition emerges
10h agoHollins, who was signed as a free agent by the Bills in March, has seen the receiver room fill out in the time since, with the Bills drafting Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft while also adding veterans Curtis Samuel, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Chase Claypool.
For a very brief period, Hollins was a starter on the otherwise lethal Buffalo offensive depth chart, but things have changed, and it now looks as if the Bills will let several journeymen duke it out for slotting. With Buffalo being likely to feature running back James Cook and tight end Dalton Kincaid heavily in the passing game, it's difficult to envision Hollins having anything more than a depth role as a receiver that offers good size in the red zone, though it should be noted that he's never caught more than four touchdowns in an NFL season.

Tank Dell HOU WR
Texans' Tank Dell: Engages in workout Saturday
1d agoDell (leg) ran and performed drills Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Dell is recovering from what has been described as a "clean flesh wound" to his left leg sustained as an innocent bystander in a shooting in Florida in late April. The wideout's workout Saturday suggests that he's progressing well and confirms previous reports that the wound was minor. Given his activity Saturday, there appears to be a chance that Dell will participate in the Texans' OTAs, which begin Monday.

Chukwuebuka Godrick KC OT
Chiefs' Chukwuebuka Godrick: Arrested on misdemeanor charge
2d agoGodrick and teammate Wanya Morris were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Godrick and Morris were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Godrick is expected to compete for a roster spot in 2024 after spending his rookie year on Kansas City's practice squad in 2023. It's unclear whether Godrick will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Chiefs' Wanya Morris: Arrested for misdemeanor possession
2d agoMorris and teammate Chukwuebuka Godrick were arrested on misdemeanor marijuana possession charges Thursday and released on bond Friday, according to Johnson County (Kansas) Sheriff reports, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Morris and Godrick were arrested Thursday night and released on a $2,500 bond Friday. Possession of marijuana is illegal in the state of Kansas. Morris is expected to compete for the starting left tackle spot for the Chiefs in 2024. It's unclear whether Morris will face supplemental discipline from the NFL or the Chiefs as a result of this arrest.

Lamical Perine KC RB
La'Mical Perine: Waived by KC
2d agoPerine was waived by the Chiefs on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Kansas City is parting ways with Perine after he rushed for 77 yards on 22 carries while adding three catches for 33 yards in 2023. The 2020 fourth-round draft pick of the Jets spent his first two seasons in New York. Perine will look to latch on with another team prior to training camp.

T.J. Hockenson MIN TE
Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: No timetable for return
2d agoHockenson (knee) said "they haven't really put a timeline on it" when asked Wednesday about a potential date for his in-season return to action, Grant Gordon of NFL.com reports.
Hockenson was specifically asked on the NFL Schedule Release '24 show whether he expects to be playing Week 5 versus the Jets in London. The standout tight end said of his recovery from a right ACL and MCL tear he's "kinda taking it day by day, week by week," and that "the progression has been incredible" even though a specific return timetable remains uncertain. Hockenson underwent surgery late January and doesn't seem likely to be ready for Week 1, but Week 5 could be within the realm of possibility. The Vikings have a Week 6 bye, however, so it's possible that a more realistic target for Hockenson's debut could be Week 7 and beyond.

Michael Lorenzen TEX SP
Rangers' Michael Lorenzen: Quality start in loss
1m agoLorenzen (2-3) allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out six over 6.1 innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Angels.
Lorenzen kept the Angels off the board for six innings, but left two runners on base that Jonathan Hernandez ultimately allowed to score in the seventh. That was enough to stick Lorenzen with his third loss in five outings despite earning his third quality start in that span. The right-hander is at a decent 3.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 33:21 K:BB over 42.1 innings through seven starts this season, but he hasn't been getting much in the way of run support lately -- the Rangers have scored more than four runs in just one of his appearances. Lorenzen is projected to make his next start at Minnesota.
-
Luis Garcia LAA RP
Angels' Luis Garcia: Grabs four-out save
6m agoGarcia allowed two hits over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the save in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Rangers. He did not strike out or walk a batter.
Garcia had allowed a run in each of his last three appearances entering Sunday. He flirted with danger, allowing a hit after relieving Jose Soriano in the eighth inning and another knock in the ninth, which he erased with a double play. Garcia likely got the save chance Sunday because regular closer Carlos Estevez pitched two innings in Saturday's 13-inning loss. Garcia has two saves and five holds to go with a 5.03 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB over 19.2 innings this season.
-
Colin Rea MIL SP
Brewers' Colin Rea: Yields five runs
9m agoRea (3-2) allowed five runs on eight hits and four walks over 4.1 innings Sunday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Astros.
Rea received a rude welcome with a four-run first inning by the Astros. He then managed to keep them in check until yielding another run in the fifth. Over his last three starts, Rea has registered a 7.20 ERA and has failed to complete five innings in two of those outings. The rough stretch has pushed his ERA from 2.67 to 4.07 through 48.2 frames. Rea has been tagged with a loss in two straight starts after starting the year 3-0. His next start is expected to be in Boston next weekend.
-
Eddie Rosario WAS LF
Nationals' Eddie Rosario: Goes yard
10m agoRosario went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 11-5 loss to the Phillies.
Rosario clobbered his sixth home run of the campaign -- each of which has come off right-handed pitching -- in the fourth inning off Aaron Nola. Although Rosario is batting .180, he's swiped six bags through 36 games, tying his combined total from the last two seasons.
-
Jose Soriano LAA SP
Angels' Jose Soriano: Excellent in win over Rangers
11m agoSoriano (2-4) allowed one run on five hits and two walks while striking out five over 7.2 innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rangers.
Soriano gave up a solo home run to Corey Seager in the fourth inning, but that was it. The Angels rallied ahead in the seventh to help Soriano earn his second win in 10 appearances (eight starts) this year. The right-hander has given up just five runs over 23.2 innings across his four appearances in May while posting a 20:8 K:BB in that span. For the year, he's at a 3.30 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 43:22 K:BB through 46.1 innings. The walk rate remains a concern, but Soriano is showing improvement in that regard. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians.
-
Corbin Burnes BAL SP
Orioles' Corbin Burnes: K's 11 in win
14m agoBurnes (4-2) earned the win Sunday against the Mariners, allowing one run on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 11.
Unlike his previous four outings where the Orioles scored a total of four runs, Burnes received five runs of support through the first three innings, allowing him to cruise to the victory. The increase in strikeouts was also a good sign for Burnes, who had tallied no more than six in his previous eight starts since accumulating 11 on Opening Day. Burnes will carry a 2.56 ERA and 1.04 WHIP into his next start, when he's slated to toe the rubber in a highly favorable matchup on the road against the White Sox.

Mike Conley MIN PG
Timberwolves' Mike Conley: Available, starting Game 7
4h agoConley (Achilles) will start Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves.
Conley will shed a second consecutive questionable tag after missing Game 5 with an Achilles injury. The veteran guard put together a solid performance in Game 6 and was able to record 31 minutes, so he likely won't face any limitations during Sunday's win-or-go-home scenario.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Officially available Sunday
4h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 7 against the Timberwolves.
Murray has been dealing with a left calf strain throughout the entire series, but he will shed another questionable tag and suit up Sunday. Murray has struggled to produce against Minnesota's stellar defense, but he will likely be called upon early and often in this win-or-go-home scenario.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Strong from deep in Game 7 win
5h agoHaliburton posted 26 points (10-17 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal over 33 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Haliburton once again led the way for Indiana offensively in a winner-take-all victory, leading all Pacers in scoring and threes made while handing out a half-dozen assists to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. Haliburton ended the series by scoring 20 or more points in four of the seven contests, adding at least five assists in every game against New York.
-
Andrew Nembhard IND PG
Pacers' Andrew Nembhard: Boosts offense in balanced Game 7
5h agoNembhard ended with 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists, five rebounds and one steal over 34 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Nembhard provided Indiana with a boost offensively both scoring and distributing, ending as one of three players with 20 or more points while handing out a half-dozen assists and adding a handful of rebounds in a balanced Game 7 outing. Nembhard put forth his best game of the postseason to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, surpassing the 20-point mark for the second time of the playoffs and for the first time in the series against New York.
-
T.J. McConnell IND PG
Pacers' T.J. McConnell: Top distributor off bench in Game 7
6h agoMcConnell finished with 12 points (6-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), seven assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal over 23 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 win over New York in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
McConnell provided a spark off the bench for Indiana in a winner-take-all contest, handing out a team-high assist total while ending as one of six players with a double-digit point total to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. McConnell stepped up his level of play in the series against New York, recording at least 10 points and seven assists in three outings. The guard has surpassed the double-digit scoring mark in seven postseason contests, doing so in five of the seven games against the Knicks.
-
Josh Hart NY SF
Knicks' Josh Hart: All-around showing in Game 7
6h agoHart finished with 10 points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists and two steals over 37 minutes in Sunday's 130-109 loss to Indiana in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Hart once again gave all he had for New York in a winner-take-all battle, putting forth an all-around showing that included reaching double figures in scoring, ending two rebounds shy of the double-digit mark and adding a handful of assists as well as a team-high-tying pair of steals. Despite dealing with some injuries throughout the series against Indiana, Hart recorded at least 10 points and eight rebounds in five of the seven games in the series.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Not playing Monday
4h agoHenrique (ankle) will not suit up for Game 7 against Vancouver on Monday, Ryan Rishaug of TSN reports.
Henrique will miss his fifth straight contest Monday, and he dressed in just one game this series. The veteran forward scored two points in Game 1 against the Kings during the first round but has not scored a point in five straight appearances. His status for the next round -- if Edmonton wins Game 7 against the Canucks -- is unclear at this time.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Out for Game 7
5h agoBoeser is dealing with a blood clotting issue and will not play in Monday's Game 7 against Edmonton, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Boeser's status moving forward is unclear, which would be a huge factor in the Western Conference Finals against Dallas if Vancouver wins Game 7. Fortunately, his condition is not considered to be life-threatening. He's scored seven goals and 12 points through 12 games this postseason, including a hat trick in Game 4 of the first round against Nashville. If Ilya Mikheyev (undisclosed) misses Game 7 as well, Sam Lafferty seems to be the most likely candidate to step in for Boeser.
-
Jesper Fast CAR RW
Hurricanes' Jesper Fast: Still in neck brace
12h agoFast (neck) was still wearing a neck brace Saturday while he continues to undergo tests to determine the severity of the injury, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Fast was unavailable during the playoffs after suffering the injury in Carolina's regular-season finale April 16. The 32-year-old winger tallied six goals and 19 points in 73 regular-season games in a bottom-six role. Once the severity of his injury is diagnosed, Fast will focus on getting back to full health ahead of the 2024-25 season.
-
Filip Hronek VAN D
Canucks' Filip Hronek: Offers helper Saturday
1d agoHronek notched an assist, three hits and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hronek has been a non-factor on offense this postseason, posting one helper, a minus-4 rating and 11 shots on net through 12 appearances. He's added 23 hits and 15 blocked shots while maintaining a top-pairing role.
-
Elias Pettersson VAN C
Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Notches assist in loss
1d agoPettersson recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Pettersson has earned two helpers in the last two games but still hasn't been living up to expectations offensively during the playoffs. He's at six points, 20 shots, 23 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 12 appearances. However, he's looked slightly better since moving to the wing alongside Elias Lindholm.
-
Nils Hoglander VAN LW
Canucks' Nils Hoglander: Nets lone goal in loss
1d agoHoglander scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Oilers in Game 6.
Hoglander offered a quick response to Dylan Holloway's opening tally in the first period, but the Canucks' offense stalled out after that. The goal was Hoglander's first this postseason, and he's added just one assist with eight shots on net, 13 hits and a minus-2 rating over 10 appearances. The winger has been listed on the second line recently, but he's played a limited role with no power-play time, so there's little reason to think he'll soon turn a corner on offense.
