Michael Gallup DAL WR
Raiders' Michael Gallup: Lands in Las Vegas
2h agoGallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the team's top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass catching role.

Curtis Samuel BUF WR
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Get competition via draft
2h agoSamuel has a new teammate in the receiving room after the Bills took Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the first pick of the second round Friday.
Samuel, signed as a free agent in March, was never going to be a No. 1 or even a No. 2 in Buffalo, but now we at least know who's been brought in ahead of him on the depth chart. It's a mild surprise the Bills chose only one receiver with their 10 draft picks, so for now the versatile Samuel likely sits No. 3 in the pecking order behind Khalil Shakir and Coleman. That said, this is a perfect offense for Samuel's skill set and he'll be a weapon of some sort once things get going, just not the primary receiving option.
-
Shane Lemieux NYG OG
Saints' Shane Lemieux: Joining up with Saints
3h agoNew Orleans signed Lemieux on Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The Giants opted not to hold on to Lemieux after the termination of his rookie contract, but he's now found another chance with the Saints. He's set to compete for a roster spot among an offensive line that underwhelmed in 2023.
-
Matt Hembrough ARI LS
Matt Hembrough: Done with Cards
3h agoArizona waived Hembrough on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In a corresponding move, Arizona signed rookie free agent long snapper Joe Shimko. Hembrough will now have to look for his next opportunity with a new team after spending his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list.
-
Griffin Hebert PHI WR
Griffin Hebert: Gets let go
3h agoHebert was waived by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Lousiana Product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.
-
Kyle Pitts ATL TE
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Has 2025 option exercised
4h agoThe Falcons exercised Pitts' 2025 fifth-year option, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

Gus Varland LAD RP
Dodgers' Gus Varland: Called up Monday
16m agoVarland was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Varland will return to the major-league roster after being sent down to Oklahoma City on April 8. The right-hander has pitched two-thirds of an inning with the Dodgers over two appearances this season, allowing two runs (one earned). He'll replace Ryan Brasier (calf) in the bullpen for Los Angeles after Brasier was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday.
-
Ryan Brasier LAD RP
Dodgers' Ryan Brasier: Lands on IL
22m agoBrasier was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right calf strain, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
It's unclear as to when Brasier picked up the injury, especially since he looked solid during Saturday's outing when he fired a scoreless inning against the Blue Jays. Gus Varland was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.
-
Brandon Williamson CIN SP
Reds' Brandon Williamson: Set for rehab assignment
1h agoWilliamson (shoulder) is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on May 9, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Williamson has missed the entirety of the 2024 campaign to this point while nursing a left shoulder strain, but he appears to be on the cusp of returning to the mound. He'll likely need to make a few starts with Louisville before he can be activated from the injured list. The southpaw produced a 4.46 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 98 strikeouts over 117 innings in 23 starts with the Reds last season and he figures to be a valuable addition to their starting rotation once healthy.
-
Ian Gibaut CIN RP
Reds' Ian Gibaut: Pauses rehab assignment
1h agoGibaut (forearm) has been shut down from throwing, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Gibaut was expected to throw in back-to-back games sometime this week, but he's been shut down after experiencing "persistent issues", per Wittenmyer. Gibaut is set to undergo another examination in the coming days, at which point the club should have a better idea on the next steps in his rehab.
-
Tim Anderson MIA SS
Marlins' Tim Anderson: Diagnosed with thumb sprain
1h agoAnderson suffered a mild left thumb sprain during Monday's game against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Anderson will be considered day-to-day moving forward. Vidal Brujan would be in line for more playing time at shortstop if Anderson needs a few days off to recover.
-
Jason Heyward LAD RF
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Not cleared for baseball activities
1h agoHeyward (back) has not yet been cleared to resume baseball activities, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.
The Dodgers' last update on Heyward was that he was still experiencing soreness in his back, and it doesn't sound as though he's progressed much over the last week. Considering Hayward hasn't seen any game action since April 1, he'll likely need a considerable amount of time to ramp up once cleared. A timetable for his return should begin to come into focus once he can resume baseball drills.
-
Jarred Vanderbilt LAL PF
Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Available for Game 5
1m agoVanderbilt (foot) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Vanderbilt will have an opportunity to make his postseason debut after proving his health in pregame workouts. It's unclear as to how much he'll factor into the rotation after failing to see any action since Feb. 1, but he'll be ready to go if called upon.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Unlikely to return
33m agoPorzingis is being considered doubtful to return to Monday's Game 5 against the Heat due to right calf tightness, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
The severity of Porzingis' injury is not yet known, however, it sounds like he'll be held out the rest of the way. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has already reported that Porzingis will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, and the initial indication is that he managed to avoid an Achilles injury. Boston should have more information on the big man's status over the next day or so.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Limps to locker room
43m agoPorzingis walked to the locker room during the first half of Monday's Game 4 against the Heat with an apparent lower body injury, Souichi Terada of The Springfield Republican reports.
Porzingis came up limping with a few minutes remaining in the second quarter, and he immediately called to the bench for a sub and walked gingerly to the locker room to be evaluated further. Al Horford and Luke Kornet would be in line for larger workloads in the frontcourt if Porzingis is unable to return.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: True game-time call for Game 5
1h agoMurray (calf) is still listed as questionable for Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers, Vic Lombardi of Altitude Sports reports.
Murray will attempt to go through his pregame routine before a decision on his availability is made. "Sometimes I have to be the adult in the room," said head coach Michael Malone. "We'll see how he feels during his pregame routine." Malone went on to state that the team needs to be responsible and take the "bigger picture" approach. If Murray can help the team win and not put himself at risk of a more significant injury, playing will be on the table, per Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette.
-
Jeremiah Robinson-Earl NO PF
Pelicans' Jeremiah Robinson-Earl: Available for Game 4
2h agoRobinson-Earl (ankle) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 4 against the Thunder, Erin Summers of Bally Sports New Orleans reports.
Robinson-Earl was added to the injury report as a game-time call due to a left ankle sprain, but he'll be available to take the floor if called upon. He hasn't had much of a role so far in this series, logging only five minutes in Game 2.
-
Chris Livingston MIL SF
Bucks' Chris Livingston: Not listed on injury report
2h agoLivingston (illness) isn't listed on the Bucks' injury report ahead of Tuesday's Game 5 against the Pacers.
Livingston missed Games 3 and 4 due to an illness but is cleared for Game 5. However, the second-round rookie isn't guaranteed playing time and has seen only four minutes in the opening-round series, which all game during a Game 2 blowout loss.
-
Noah Gregor TOR C
Maple Leafs' Noah Gregor: Healthy scratch this postseason
3m agoGregor, who put up six goals and six assists in 63 games this season, has been a healthy scratch in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Gregor is an energy player with 241 NHL games under belt, but he hasn't dressed in a playoff game. And with the Leafs on the brink down 3-1 to the Bruins, Gregor's postseason debut may need to wait for another year. He's a free agent this summer, coming off a one-year, $775,000 AAV deal, and time will tell if he will be re-signed in Toronto.
-
Darren Raddysh TB D
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Out Monday
3h agoRaddysh (undisclosed) is not in Monday's Game 5 lineup against Florida, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.
Raddysh has now missed two straight games but it's unclear what he's dealing with. The 28-year-old racked up 12 hits while averaging 17:06 of ice time through the first three games this series. Max Crozier is expected to suit up again Monday.
-
Andrei Vasilevskiy TB G
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Tending twine Monday
3h agoVasilevskiy will get the starting nod for Monday's Game 5 road tilt with the Panthers, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.
Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 25 shots in Saturday's Game 4 win to avoid being swept. He's registered an .899 save percentage through four games this series. Dating back to the regular season, he's dropped six of his last eight games while posting an .891 save percentage. Vasilevskiy hasn't won two straight games since March 27 and 30.
-
Sam Poulin PIT LW
Penguins' Samuel Poulin: Inks two-year extension
3h agoPoulin signed a two-year, two-way deal with the Penguins on Monday.
Poulin racked up 16 goals and 31 points in 41 games with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. Over the last two years, he's totaled one assist in six NHL appearances. He'll head into next season's training camp looking to win a bottom-six spot in Pittsburgh.
-

Capitals' Mitchell Gibson: Assigned to minors
4h agoGibson was loaned to AHL Hershey on Monday.
Gibson spent most of the 2023-24 regular season with ECHL South Carolina, posting a 22-14-6 record with a 2.56 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 42 appearances. He also went 2-0-0 in two AHL outings, surrendering four goals on 47 shots. Gibson will probably serve as a depth option during Hershey's AHL playoff run.
