1h agoLammons will compete for a roster spot as a backup slot corner during training camp, Kevin Hickey of the Sporting News reports.
Lammons appeared in four games in 2023 and bounced between the Colts' 53-man roster and practice squad. He ended the season nursing an ankle injury but is healthy again and set to battle for a roster spot in 2024, and he'll face some increased competition from rookie Micah Abraham.

2h agoFlowers (Achilles) expects to be ready for the start of the 2024 season, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Flowers began the 2023 season as a starting corner for the Colts and tallied 15 total tackles and three passes defensed before suffering a torn Achilles in Week 4. He should have the chance to maintain a significant role as an outside corner, opposite Juju Brents with Kenny Moore covering the slot.

2h agoJones (back) did light throwing prior to Thursday's game against the Giants and will continue to ramp up his activity Friday or Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Bryant has progressed slowly since landing on the injured list, and it has since been disclosed that he has disc and arthritis issues in his lower back. He took a step forward Wednesday, making his first participation in baseball activities since being sidelined. Manager Bud Black noted that Bryant will likely need a rehab assignment, meaning there's a good chance he won't be activated until at least late May.

Kyren Paris LAA SS
Angels' Kyren Paris: Promoted to majors
3h agoParis was recalled from Double-A Rocket City on Thursday.
With both Brandon Drury (hamstring) and Luis Rengifo (illness) sidelined, the Angels were shorthanded along the infield. Paris boasts enough defensive versatility to help the team in that regard, as he is capable of playing second base and shortstop as well as in the outfield. His ability to contribute as a hitter is far less clear, as he was striking out at a 39.1 percent clip across 92 plate appearances with Rocket City prior to his promotion.
-
Luis Rengifo LAA 2B
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Sidelined by illness
4h agoRengifo (illness) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday.
Rengifo has been held out of the lineup for five straight games with the illness, so his stint on the injured list will be retroactive to May 6. Kyren Paris was recalled from Double-A Rocket City in the corresponding move and should take over in a utility role while Rengifo is sidelined.
-
Brandon Drury LAA 2B
Angels' Brandon Drury: Placed on injured list
4h agoDrury (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday.
Drury exited Wednesday's game after dealing with tightness in his hamstring, an issue he first dealt with in mid-April. He'll be sidelined for at least the next 10 days, leaving Luis Guillorme as the Angels' projected starting second baseman in the short term.
-

4h agoGuillorme will hit eighth and play second base Thursday against the Royals.
The Angels acquired Guillorme Thursday and he'll immediately be set for his debut with the team. With Brandon Drury (hamstring) landing on the injured list, Guillorme could be in line for regular playing time in the short term.

Jayson Tatum BOS PF
Celtics' Jayson Tatum: Leading scorer in Game 2 defeat
3h agoTatum tallied 25 points (7-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-11 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal over 38 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Tatum once again led Boston offensively in Game 2, pacing all Celtics in scoring while handing out a team-high half-dozen assists to go along with a team-best rebound total in a well-rounded outing. Tatum, who also connected on a team-leading total from the free-throw line, has surpassed the 20-point mark in five of his seven games this postseason, adding at least six rebounds and six assists in three outings.
-
Jaylen Brown BOS SF
Celtics' Jaylen Brown: Nears 20 points in Game 2 loss
3h agoBrown posted 19 points (7-17 FG, 0-6 3pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds and one assist over 31 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Brown struggled from deep in Thursday's contest, not connecting on a three but still ending second on the team in scoring in a near 20-point outing in a Game 2 defeat. Brown had a down game in comparison to Tuesday's 32-point showing in Game 1 and Boston will need the star guard to contribute more in order to steal a game on the road in Game 3 and break a series tie with Cleveland.
-
Payton Pritchard BOS PG
Celtics' Payton Pritchard: Leads bench again in Game 2
3h agoPritchard notched 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists, two rebounds and one steal over 20 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Pritchard once again provide a spark off the Celtics bench in Thursday's contest, leading all Boston bench players in scoring and assists while ending as one of five Celtics in double figures in scoring in a losing effort. Pritchard has had a strong semifinals series through two games, reaching double figures in both games while playing at least 20 minutes off the bench in both contests. It will be key for the Celtics to get contributions from Pritchard and the rest of the bench this series, and we will likely continue to see Pritchard earn a large chunk of minutes on the second unit.
-
Donovan Mitchell CLE SG
Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Leads offensively in Game 2 victory
3h agoMitchell tallied 29 points (10-19 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight assists and seven rebounds over 40 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

Mitchell has done it all for the Cavaliers through two games against the Celtics, averaging 31 points so far in the semifinals. Mitchell posted his first game of the postseason with at least seven rebounds and seven assists, also setting a playoff high in threes made in the victory.
-
Evan Mobley CLE PF
Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Steps up with all-around Game 2
3h agoMobley recorded 21 points (9-15 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal over 33 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Mobley stepped up as the starting center while Jarrett Allen (ribs) remained out in Game 2, leading all players in the contest in rebounds and blocks to go along with a handful of assists while ending as one of three Cavaliers with 20 or more points in a double-double performance. Mobley is off to a hot start in the series against Boston, posting a double-double in both games thus far. If Mobley is able to continue to play well for Cleveland, that will provide a much-needed lift for the Cavaliers against a dominant Celtics squad.
-
Caris LeVert CLE SG
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Reaches 20 points off bench in win
3h agoLeVert ended with 21 points (9-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 27 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 win over the Celtics in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
LeVert made the most of his time off the bench in Game 2, ending as one of three Cavaliers with 20 or more points while helping Cleveland claim a much-needed victory to even the series against Boston. LeVert didn't connect on a three but still ended tied for second on the team in scoring to go along with a half-dozen rebounds and a trio of assists. LeVert had a bounce-back game after recording just four points in Tuesday's Game 1, playing a big part in Cleveland being able to steal a game on the road as it now returns home to try and take a lead in the series.

Stars' Jamie Benn: Pockets power-play assist
1m agoBenn logged a power-play assist and two hits in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 2.

-
Jason Robertson DAL LW
Stars' Jason Robertson: Helps out on power play

The first-line winger has added 18 shots on net, 17 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating during the postseason.
-
Esa Lindell DAL D
Stars' Esa Lindell: Fills empty cage
5m agoLindell scored an empty-net goal in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 2.
Lindell's empty-netter went the length of the ice and cut off the Avalanche's comeback effort. The tally was the defenseman's first point in nine playoff outings. While he hasn't been scoring, the 29-year-old has added 14 hits, 24 blocked shots, 16 shots on net and a minus-1 rating while seeing top-four minutes this postseason.
-
Tyler Seguin DAL C
Stars' Tyler Seguin: Nets shorthanded goal
7m agoSeguin scored a shorthanded goal on three shots and blocked two shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Avalanche in Game 2.
Seguin's shortie in the second period ended up being the game-winner. He buried the rebound from a Thomas Harley attempt. The goal was Seguin's first of the playoffs to go with three assists, 28 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-4 rating over nine appearances. The 32-year-old should continue to see middle-six minutes as he looks to provide depth scoring for the Stars.

The 27-year-old Hintz also set up Esa Lindell's empty-netter in the third. Prior to Thursday, Hintz had been limited to one goal and 10 shots on net over his first eight playoff outings. He's at five points, 13 shots, 15 hits, six PIM and a minus-3 rating this postseason.
