Lucas Patrick CHI OG
Saints' Lucas Patrick: Headed to Big Easy
7h agoThe Saints signed Patrick (calf) to a one-year contract Sunday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Patrick appeared in 23 games with 20 starts over the past two seasons with Chicago. The 30-year-old was the team's starting center for almost the entire 2023 campaign, but he ended the year on IR due to an unspecified calf injury. While the nature of this issue was never revealed, Patrick now appears to be healthy again. He should now provide depth along the interior of New Orleans' offensive line.

Ramon Jefferson 2005 RB
Buccaneers' Ramon Jefferson: Inks deal with Tampa
7h agoThe Buccaneers signed Jefferson on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Jefferson was one of 26 players brought in on a tryout basis during Tampa Bay's rookie minicamp Friday and Saturday. The 5-foot-10 running back played at four different schools during his collegiate career, beginning at Maine in 2017. He spent his final two seasons with Kentucky after a standout stint at FCS Sam Houston, where he logged 1,907 yards on 299 carries across two years. However, he finished with just 28 rushes for 184 yards across 11 games with the Wildcats in 2023.

Kaden Davis ARI WR
Lions' Kaden Davis: Joining Detroit
11h agoThe Lions are signing Davis to a contract after he attended rookie camp on a tryout basis, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Davis was waived by the Cardinals in late April after spending most of last year on the team's practice squad. He was active for one contest during the campaign but didn't see any snaps. The 25-year-old will get a shot to compete for a roster spot among a WR corps that is headed by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu NYJ OT
Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
12h agoFashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Bud Dupree ATL OLB
Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
1d agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly met with both the Falcons and Steelers recently in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

AJ Parker CAR CB
AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
1d agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

Xander Bogaerts SD 2B
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Gets going with home run
1m agoBogaerts went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sundays 4-0 win over the Dodgers.
Bogaerts gave the Padres some extra breathing room with a solo shot off Gus Varland in the fifth. The long ball was his first since April 21 and his first hit in 17 at-bats since May 6. Bogaerts has yet to get going this season, slashing just .211/.264/.301 with three homers, 12 RBI, 22 runs and a 12:36 BB:K in 178 plate appearances.
-
Paul Goldschmidt STL 1B
Cardinals' Paul Goldschmidt: Snaps skid with homer
2m agoGoldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's win over the Brewers.
Goldschmidt needed Sunday's performance in a big way; he entered the contest riding a 1-for-32 skid. He finally snapped out of it with a solo homer in the fifth inning, followed by a game-tying RBI single in the sixth. However, he also struck out twice, giving him an uncharacteristic 2:15 BB:K over his last eight games. On the year, Goldschmidt is now slashing .197/.280/.279 with six extra-base hits and 13 RBI through 38 games.
-
Kyle Hendricks CHC SP
Cubs' Kyle Hendricks: Looks like himself
5m agoHendricks didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Pittsburgh, allowing one run on two hits and four walks across five innings. He struck out five.
Hendricks was placed on the IL on April 23 with a lower back strain, a move that followed an extremely uncharacteristic start to the season. Prior to the injury, Hendricks stumbled to a 12.00 ERA and a 2.10 WHIP with eight homers allowed across 21.0 innings. Considering Hendricks had allowed 28 combined home runs over 221.1 innings the past two seasons and owned a 3.54 career ERA before 2024, Sunday's start was much more in line with Hendricks' averages. While one solid start doesn't mean fantasy managers should expect the Hendricks of old moving forward, it's a positive sign amid a not-so-positive season for Hendricks. He's lined up for a rematch with the Pirates on Friday.

Zack Gelof OAK 2B
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Plays full rehab game again
7m agoGelof (oblique) played a full game at second base in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Sunday, going 0-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk.
Gelof's ability to play a full game for the second straight day is certainly an encouraging sign for his progress from his oblique injury. The young infielder could be on the verge of activation, although the Athletics will undoubtedly evaluate him carefully Monday to see how he's responded to the back-to-back full workloads over the weekend.
-
Jackson Merrill SD CF
Padres' Jackson Merrill: Impactful game in win
9m agoMerrill went 3-for-4 with two steals and a run scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.
Merrill tallied at least three hits in a game for the fourth time this season and it was his 11th multi-hit game of his rookie campaign. Merrill hadn't swiped a bag since April 16 but managed to steal and eventually score in the fourth before taking another base in the eighth. He's settled in nicely thus far, slashing .282/.331/.374 with two homers, 16 RBI, 17 runs, six steals and a 10:23 BB:K in 143 plate appearances.
-
Miles Mikolas STL SP
Cardinals' Miles Mikolas: Victorious in quality outing
9m agoMikolas (3-5) allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over six innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Brewers.
It looked like Mikolas would be chased early after Milwaukee plated three runs in the first inning. Instead, he settled in for a quality start and only allowed one Brewer to reach scoring position over the next five frames. He now has four quality starts through nine outings this season, with two coming in his last three appearances. Mikolas forced just four whiffs Sunday and hasn't reached double digits in any start this year. He'll carry a 6.19 ERA into his next outing, which is lined up to be at home against Boston.
-
Isaiah Hartenstein NY C
Knicks' Isaiah Hartenstein: Suffered minor injury in loss
27m agoHartenstein suffered a minor shoulder injury in Sunday's loss, but he should be good to go for Game 5, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reports.
Hartenstein was in clear discomfort after taking a fall during Sunday's 121-89 loss to the Pacers, but he was able to continue playing. Following the game, Hartenstein stated he may have pinched a nerve in his shoulder, but reassured that he is fine. The 26-year-old pro finished Sunday's contest with a meager four points (2-3 FG) and five rebounds across 21 minutes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Available for Game 4
5h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Murray has been dealing with a calf injury throughout the series and is yet to miss a game, so it isn't surprising to see him shed another questionable tag. After struggling in the first two games of the series, Murray bounced back in Game 3 with a 24-point outing on solid efficiency, and he will look to carry that momentum over to Sunday's matchup.
-
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Available Sunday
5h agoCaldwell-Pope (abdomen) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
Caldwell-Pope was deemed questionable ahead of gametime due to a right abdominal contusion, but he will suit up for Sunday's matchup. Battling through the same injury in Game 3, Caldwell-Pope logged 37 minutes, so he should be in for a full workload Sunday.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Good to go
5h agoJackson (calf) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Jackson will overcome a second consecutive questionable tag to suit up for Sunday's matchup. Jackson has had a limited presence this series as he has battled injury, averaging just 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes through three games.
-
Olivier-Maxence Prosper DAL SF
Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Won't play Monday
6h agoProsper (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Thunder.
Prosper has missed nine straight games with a sprained left ankle. His next chance to play will come Wednesday.
-
Craig Porter Jr. CLE PG
Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Sidelined for Game 4
6h agoPorter (ankle) won't play in Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics.
Porter has missed 11 consecutive contests due to a sprained left ankle. Even if healthy, Porter likely wouldn't factor into the rotation.
-
Brandon Carlo BOS D
Bruins' Brandon Carlo: Third goal of postseason
4m agoCarlo scored a goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 4.
Carlo put the Bruins up by two in the first period with an unassisted goal. He threw a fluttering shot from the point that beat Florida's Sergei Bobrovsky over his right pad, but that was the end of Boston's offense for the night. In addition to scoring a goal, Carlo had two shots on net, one blocked shot, two hits and a plus-1 rating in 19:11 of ice time. So far this postseason, Carlo has three goals and an assist to go along with a plus-4 rating in 11 outings.
-
David Pastrnak BOS RW
Bruins' David Pastrnak: Scores goal in Sunday's loss
36m agoPastrnak scored a goal on the power play in Sunday's 3-2 loss to Florida in Game 4.
Pastrnak wired home a one-timer on the power play in the first period for his fourth goal of the postseason. The star winger also had two shots on goal, one blocked shot, two hits and a minus-1 rating in 19:44 of ice time. Pastrnak is up to four goals and four assists with a plus-1 rating in 11 contests during the playoffs. Pasta and the Bruins will look to stave off elimination in Game 5 on Tuesday in Florida.
-
Aleksander Barkov FLA C
Panthers' Aleksander Barkov: Scores game-winning goal
1h agoBarkov scored his fifth goal of the postseason in Sunday's 3-2 win over Boston in Game 4.
Barkov scored the game-winning goal Sunday in Boston to help the Panthers get within one win of advancing to the third round of the postseason. The Finnish superstar diced through the middle of the ice before beating Jeremy Swayman under his right arm almost midway through the third period. The goal also extended Barkov's point streak to five games -- he has 11 points over that span. Florida's captain is leading the team in scoring so far this postseason with 13 points in nine games to go along with a plus-4 rating.
-
Evan Rodrigues FLA C
Panthers' Evan Rodrigues: Two more points in win
1h agoRodrigues had two assists in Sunday's 3-2 win over Boston in Game 4.
Rodrigues is heating up with two goals and two assists over his last two games. He had the primary assist on Anton Lundell's second-period goal that cut Boston's lead to one. Rodrigues also added a secondary assist on Sam Bennett's game-tying power-play goal early in the third period. The 30-year-old Rodrigues is up to three goals, three assists and a minus-1 rating in 9 contests so far this postseason.
-
Anton Lundell FLA C
Panthers' Anton Lundell: Two points in win
1h agoLundell scored a goal and supplied an assist in Sunday's 3-2 win over Boston in Game 4.
Lundell opened the scoring for the Panthers to cut the Bruins lead to one in the second period. He then set up Sam Bennett on the power play to tie the game at two early in the third period. Lundell has been a solid source of offense for Florida as a depth player -- the third-line center has one goal and six assists in nine contests so far this postseason. Lundell and the Panthers will attempt to close out the series Tuesday in Florida.
-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Solid outing in loss
2h agoSwayman made 38 saves on 41 shots in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers in Game 4.
Swayman was stellar Sunday night but it wasn't enough as Boston was heavily outplayed by Florida in the loss. The 25-year-old netminder was provided with a two-goal lead in the first period before the Panthers scored three unanswered goals over the final two frames. Swayman and the Bruins find themselves on the brink of elimination heading back to Florida for Game 5 on Tuesday. Overall this postseason, the Boston goaltender has a 5-5 record with a 2.28 GAA and a .931 save percentage.
