Michael Gallup DAL WR
Raiders' Michael Gallup: Lands in Las Vegas
3h agoGallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the team's top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass catching role.

Curtis Samuel BUF WR
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Get competition via draft
3h agoSamuel has a new teammate in the receiving room after the Bills took Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the first pick of the second round Friday.
Samuel, signed as a free agent in March, was never going to be a No. 1 or even a No. 2 in Buffalo, but now we at least know who's been brought in ahead of him on the depth chart. It's a mild surprise the Bills chose only one receiver with their 10 draft picks, so for now the versatile Samuel likely sits No. 3 in the pecking order behind Khalil Shakir and Coleman. That said, this is a perfect offense for Samuel's skill set and he'll be a weapon of some sort once things get going, just not the primary receiving option.

Shane Lemieux NYG OG
Saints' Shane Lemieux: Joining up with Saints
4h agoNew Orleans signed Lemieux on Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The Giants opted not to hold on to Lemieux after the termination of his rookie contract, but he's now found another chance with the Saints. He's set to compete for a roster spot among an offensive line that underwhelmed in 2023.

Matt Hembrough ARI LS
Matt Hembrough: Done with Cards
5h agoArizona waived Hembrough on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In a corresponding move, Arizona signed rookie free agent long snapper Joe Shimko. Hembrough will now have to look for his next opportunity with a new team after spending his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list.
-
Griffin Hebert PHI WR
Griffin Hebert: Gets let go
5h agoHebert was waived by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Lousiana Product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.
-
Kyle Pitts ATL TE
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Has 2025 option exercised
5h agoThe Falcons exercised Pitts' 2025 fifth-year option, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

Jake Irvin WAS SP
Nationals' Jake Irvin: Sharp in second win
4m agoIrvin (2-2) picked up the win in Monday's 7-2 victory over the Marlins, giving up two runs on four hits over six innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.
The right-hander delivered his third quality start of the season in efficient fashion, tossing 59 of 84 pitches for strikes and taking a shutout into the sixth inning before Jazz Chisholm launched a two-run homer to center field. Irvin will carry a 4.28 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB through 33.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Blue Jays.
-
Christopher Morel CHC 3B
Cubs' Christopher Morel: Hits go-ahead home run
4m agoMorel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets.
Morel was hitless until the ninth inning, when he delivered a two-out home run against New York closer Edwin Diaz to break open a 1-1 tie. The key blast was Morel's fourth of the season and first since April 9. He's not off to as fast of a start as he had last year, but the 24-year-old can heat up in a hurry, and perhaps this effort will provide the spark.

Danny Coulombe BAL RP
Orioles' Danny Coulombe: Notches first save
10m agoCoulombe worked a scoreless ninth inning Monday to record his first save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Yankees.
With Craig Kimbrel (back) sidelined, Yennier Cano remained in his high-leverage role and retired Aaron Judge as the final out of the seventh inning before taking care of Anthony Rizzo, Giancarlo Stanton and Austin Wells in the eighth. After Cano gave up a single to begin the ninth, however, Coulombe was brought in to handle the bottom of New York's order and needed only 12 pitches (nine strikes) to get the job done. Kimbrel may not be unavailable for long, but if he does wind up on the injured list, Coulombe could factor more heavily into the endgame mix for manager Brandon Hyde than expected. The southpaw has pitched well to begin the season, posting a 3.18 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB through 11.1 innings.

Joshua Lowe TB RF
Rays' Josh Lowe: MRI brings positive news
12m agoManager Kevin Cash stated Monday that the news on Lowe's MRI was "pretty good" and the team is monitoring him on a day-to-day basis, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lowe was expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list over the weekend after recovering from an oblique injury that forced him to miss the first month of the 2024 campaign, but the club pushed the pause button after he felt some tightness in his right hamstring. This update from Cash is vague, so while it seems Lowe has managed to avoid a significant hamstring injury, the team has yet to provide a concrete timetable for the outfielder's return from the injured list.
-
Hector Neris CHC RP
Cubs' Hector Neris: Secures fourth save
12m agoNeris worked around two walks to pitch a clean ninth inning and record the save in Monday's 3-1 win over the Mets. He struck out two.
Neris put a few runners on base, but he got out of trouble to secure his fourth save of the season. All of those saves have come in the last nine days, which coincides with Adbert Alzolay getting removed from the closer's role. The more success Neris has moving forward, the firmer his grip will get on the job, which will only increase his fantasy value. The veteran is the top Chicago reliever to target at the moment.
-
Gunnar Henderson BAL SS
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Swats homer No. 10
16m agoHenderson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Monday's 2-0 win over the Yankees.
The 22-year-old shortstop gave Grayson Rodriguez and the Orioles bullpen all the offense they would need when he took Clarke Schmidt deep in the first inning. Henderson has gone yard four times in the last six games, giving him 10 homers on the season -- tied with Mike Trout for the MLB lead. Henderson sports a .289/.352/.632 slash line with six steals, 23 RBI and 25 runs through 28 contests.

Jaime Jaquez Jr. MIA SF
Heat's Jaime Jaquez: Picks up leg injury in Game 4
4m agoJaquez experienced upper leg tightness during Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. He finished with nine points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocks in 22 minutes.
Jaquez went to the locker room to be evaluated and quickly returned to the game, but he was ultimately held out of the fourth quarter due to upper leg tightness. The team expects to identify the extent of his injury Tuesday morning.

LeBron James LAL SF
Lakers' LeBron James: Available for Game 5
1h agoJames (ankle) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against Denver, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
James and Anthony Davis (wrist) were each listed as probable to suit up, and they've both been given the green light for Monday's clash. James is coming off a 30-point performance in Game 4 and will need to produce at a high level again in Game 5 to give his team a chance to extend the series.
-
Anthony Davis LAL C
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Good to go for Game 5
1h agoDavis (wrist) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.

-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Set to play in Game 5
1h agoMurray (calf) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers.
Murray was spotted going through a brief, five-minute workout before the game with a wrap on his injured calf, and he's since been cleared to suit up. He's put up 20 or more points in the first four games of the series but is knocking down only 20.8 percent of his tries from three over this stretch.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Good to go for Game 5
1h agoJackson (ankle) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers.
