Michael Gallup DAL WR
Raiders' Michael Gallup: Lands in Las Vegas
2h agoGallup agreed to terms on a one-year, $3 million contract with the Raiders on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After a six-year stint in Dallas to start his career, Gallup will get a fresh start in Las Vegas. His second year with the Cowboys generated plenty of optimism, as he tallied 1,107 yards receiving to go along with six touchdowns. However, he has failed to replicate those types of numbers since. With Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers locked in as the team's top pass catchers, Gallup will compete with the likes of Tre Tucker and DJ Turner, among others, for the No. 3 pass catching role.

Curtis Samuel BUF WR
Bills' Curtis Samuel: Get competition via draft
3h agoSamuel has a new teammate in the receiving room after the Bills took Keon Coleman out of Florida State with the first pick of the second round Friday.
Samuel, signed as a free agent in March, was never going to be a No. 1 or even a No. 2 in Buffalo, but now we at least know who's been brought in ahead of him on the depth chart. It's a mild surprise the Bills chose only one receiver with their 10 draft picks, so for now the versatile Samuel likely sits No. 3 in the pecking order behind Khalil Shakir and Coleman. That said, this is a perfect offense for Samuel's skill set and he'll be a weapon of some sort once things get going, just not the primary receiving option.

Shane Lemieux NYG OG
Saints' Shane Lemieux: Joining up with Saints
4h agoNew Orleans signed Lemieux on Monday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
The Giants opted not to hold on to Lemieux after the termination of his rookie contract, but he's now found another chance with the Saints. He's set to compete for a roster spot among an offensive line that underwhelmed in 2023.
-
Matt Hembrough ARI LS
Matt Hembrough: Done with Cards
4h agoArizona waived Hembrough on Monday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
In a corresponding move, Arizona signed rookie free agent long snapper Joe Shimko. Hembrough will now have to look for his next opportunity with a new team after spending his entire rookie season on the injured reserve list.
-
Griffin Hebert PHI WR
Griffin Hebert: Gets let go
4h agoHebert was waived by the Eagles on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Hebert joined Philadelphia's practice squad late last season and turned that into a reserve/future contract with the team in January. However, the Lousiana Product's time with the team will come to an end for now, and he'll have the chance to pursue new opportunities.
-
Kyle Pitts ATL TE
Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Has 2025 option exercised
4h agoThe Falcons exercised Pitts' 2025 fifth-year option, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
It's a no-brainer move for the Falcons, even if Pitts, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2021 Draft, is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons after going over 1,000 yards as a rookie. The hope in Atlanta is that the acquisition of Kirk Cousins coupled with the new coaching staff can help maximize Pitts' abilities. Pitts' figures to be a popular 2024 rebound candidate in both real life and fantasy football.

Blake Treinen LAD RP
Dodgers' Blake Treinen: Feeling strong in rehab outings
7m agoThe Dodgers have received reports that Treinen is faring well on his rehab assignment, and he's expected to make another appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Treinen has given up five runs over 2.1 innings during his first three outings with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the team is pleased with how he's pitched, per Harris. It remains to be seen whether Wednesday's appearance at Triple-A will be Treinen's last before being activated from the 15-day injured list.
-
Gus Varland LAD RP
Dodgers' Gus Varland: Called up Monday
1h agoVarland was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
Varland will return to the major-league roster after being sent down to Oklahoma City on April 8. The right-hander has pitched two-thirds of an inning with the Dodgers over two appearances this season, allowing two runs (one earned). He'll replace Ryan Brasier (calf) in the bullpen for Los Angeles after Brasier was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday.
-
Ryan Brasier LAD RP
Dodgers' Ryan Brasier: Lands on IL
1h agoBrasier was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right calf strain, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
It's unclear as to when Brasier picked up the injury, especially since he looked solid during Saturday's outing when he fired a scoreless inning against the Blue Jays. Gus Varland was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move.
-
Brandon Williamson CIN SP
Reds' Brandon Williamson: Set for rehab assignment
2h agoWilliamson (shoulder) is expected to begin a minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on May 9, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Williamson has missed the entirety of the 2024 campaign to this point while nursing a left shoulder strain, but he appears to be on the cusp of returning to the mound. He'll likely need to make a few starts with Louisville before he can be activated from the injured list. The southpaw produced a 4.46 ERA and 1.28 WHIP with 98 strikeouts over 117 innings in 23 starts with the Reds last season and he figures to be a valuable addition to their starting rotation once healthy.
-
Ian Gibaut CIN RP
Reds' Ian Gibaut: Pauses rehab assignment
2h agoGibaut (forearm) has been shut down from throwing, Gordon Wittenmyer of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Gibaut was expected to throw in back-to-back games sometime this week, but he's been shut down after experiencing "persistent issues", per Wittenmyer. Gibaut is set to undergo another examination in the coming days, at which point the club should have a better idea on the next steps in his rehab.
-
Tim Anderson MIA SS
Marlins' Tim Anderson: Diagnosed with thumb sprain
2h agoAnderson suffered a mild left thumb sprain during Monday's game against the Nationals, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Anderson will be considered day-to-day moving forward. Vidal Brujan would be in line for more playing time at shortstop if Anderson needs a few days off to recover.
-
LeBron James LAL SF
Lakers' LeBron James: Available for Game 5
28m agoJames (ankle) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against Denver, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
James and Anthony Davis (wrist) were each listed as probable to suit up, and they've both been given the green light for Monday's clash. James is coming off a 30-point performance in Game 4 and will need to produce at a high level again in Game 5 to give his team a chance to extend the series.
-
Anthony Davis LAL C
Lakers' Anthony Davis: Good to go for Game 5
30m agoDavis (wrist) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
Davis was added to the injury report as probable due to a left wrist sprain, and as anticipated, he'll be able to play through the injury Monday evening. LeBron James (ankle) has also been cleared to play, so the Lakers will have both top contributors available in a must-win game.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Set to play in Game 5
32m agoMurray (calf) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers.
Murray was spotted going through a brief, five-minute workout before the game with a wrap on his injured calf, and he's since been cleared to suit up. He's put up 20 or more points in the first four games of the series but is knocking down only 20.8 percent of his tries from three over this stretch.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Good to go for Game 5
35m agoJackson (ankle) will play in Monday's Game 5 against the Lakers.
Jackson has been dealing with a minor ankle issue leading up to Monday's matchup, but he won't be forced to miss any action. His role figures to be limited again with Jamal Murray (calf) also being upgraded to available.
-
Jarred Vanderbilt LAL PF
Lakers' Jarred Vanderbilt: Available for Game 5
37m agoVanderbilt (foot) has been cleared to play in Monday's Game 5 against the Nuggets, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
Vanderbilt will have an opportunity to make his postseason debut after proving his health in pregame workouts. It's unclear as to how much he'll factor into the rotation after failing to see any action since Feb. 1, but he'll be ready to go if called upon.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Unlikely to return
1h agoPorzingis is being considered doubtful to return to Monday's Game 5 against the Heat due to right calf tightness, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
The severity of Porzingis' injury is not yet known, however, it sounds like he'll be held out the rest of the way. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN has already reported that Porzingis will undergo an MRI on Tuesday, and the initial indication is that he managed to avoid an Achilles injury. Boston should have more information on the big man's status over the next day or so.
-
Mark Giordano TOR D
Maple Leafs' Mark Giordano: Can't crack postseason lineup
16m agoGiordano has not been able to crack the postseason lineup against the Bruins in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Giordano, who missed significant time this season to injury and following his father's death, has 1,148 regular-season NHL games, but only 37 postseason games to his name. He started in 2005-06, and he headed off to the KHL in 2007-08 where he played 50 games for Moscow Dynamo. Giordano is nearing the end of his career, but with newcomers Ilya Lyubushkin and Joel Edmundson on the blue line, he has found it hard to crack the top-six. The Leafs are on the verge of elimination, down 3-1 to the Bruins this postseason, so Father Time is catching up with Giordano.
-
Radek Faksa DAL C
Stars' Radek Faksa: Not playing Monday
30m agoFaksa (undisclosed) will not suit up Monday against Vegas, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
Faksa will now miss a second consecutive game despite being considered a game-time call Monday. He should be questionable to return for Game 5 on Wednesday until another update is available. Faksa tallied nine hits with no points in the first two games this series.
-
Mason Marchment DAL LW
Stars' Mason Marchment: Not available Monday
32m agoMarchment (undisclosed) will not be available Monday against Vegas, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
Marchment was a game-time decision Monday but will end up missing his second straight contest. The 28-year-old has tallied one goal and 11 hits while averaging 13:55 of ice time through two games this series. He'll be considered questionable for Game 5 on Wednesday.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Draws start Monday
35m agoOettinger will get the starting nod for Game 4 in Vegas on Monday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
After falling down 2-0 at home, Oettinger was terrific in Saturday's Game 3 victory, stopping 32 of 34 shots in the process. He's allowed eight goals on 74 shots through three games this series. Oettinger was on a ridiculous run heading into the playoffs, going 10-1-0 with a 1.54 GAA and a .941 save percentage over his last 11 games during the regular season.
-
Noah Gregor TOR C
Maple Leafs' Noah Gregor: Healthy scratch this postseason
39m agoGregor, who put up six goals and six assists in 63 games this season, has been a healthy scratch in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Gregor is an energy player with 241 NHL games under belt, but he hasn't dressed in a playoff game. And with the Leafs on the brink down 3-1 to the Bruins, Gregor's postseason debut may need to wait for another year. He's a free agent this summer, coming off a one-year, $775,000 AAV deal, and time will tell if he will be re-signed in Toronto.
-
Darren Raddysh TB D
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Out Monday
3h agoRaddysh (undisclosed) is not in Monday's Game 5 lineup against Florida, Gabby Shirley of Bally Sports Florida reports.
Raddysh has now missed two straight games but it's unclear what he's dealing with. The 28-year-old racked up 12 hits while averaging 17:06 of ice time through the first three games this series. Max Crozier is expected to suit up again Monday.
