Ryan Flournoy 2005 WR
Cowboys' Ryan Flournoy: Dallas picks up in sixth round
2m agoThe Cowboys selected Flournoy in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 216th overall.
Flournoy (6-foot-1, 202 pounds) was a non-entity as a recruit and had to toil in the Missouri-area FCS ranks for four years before finally breaking out with Southeast Missouri State, but his numbers were excellent from that point and he followed it up with a dominant showing at the NFL Combine (4.44-second 40-yard dash, 39.5-inch vertical, 132-inch broad jump). Flournoy might be raw and doesn't have much of a developmental window at nearly 25 years old, but if his slow start can be explained by circumstances then he could prove a steal for Dallas.

Beaux Limmer 2005 IOL
Rams' Beaux Limmer: Depth piece in Los Angeles
5m agoThe Rams selected Limmer in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 217th overall.
A four-year starter at Arkansas, Limmer played the majority of his collegiate career at right guard before shifting to center in his final season. That he never came off the field in either of the past two seasons is an attractive quality for an offensive lineman and his positional flexibility should bolster the team's depth.
-
Cedric Johnson 2005 EDGE
Bengals' Cedric Johnson: Headed to Cincinnati
5m agoThe Bengals selected Johnson in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 214th overall.
Johnson was a pass-rush specialist throughout his time at Ole Miss. Of his 112 tackles in college, 22 went for a loss and 19 were sacks. He's an explosive athlete (91st percentile vertical jump, 81st percentile board jump), so with professional coaching, some of his raw skills could translate to more on-field production.
-
Jarrett Kingston 2005 IOL
49ers' Jarrett Kingston: Bay Area bound
8m agoThe 49ers selected Kingston in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 215th overall.
Kingston was a longtime fixture on the left side of the Washington State offensive line before transferring to USC for his sixth season of college football in 2023. He started 11 games for the Trojans, splitting time between right guard and right tackle. His 6-foot-4, 306-pound frame with shorter arms will make guard his eventual destination at the next level. Kingston is a seasoned player with a lot of football under his belt and some tools to go with that experience.
-
Jordan Whittington 2005 WR
Rams' Jordan Whittington: Another pass catcher to Los Angeles
8m agoThe Rams selected Whittington in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 213rd overall.
Whittington was a five-star recruit back in 2019, but three straight seasons mired by injuries to begin his collegiate career effectively shut the door on the wideout capitalizing on his potential. The Texas product is a well regarded leader who compiled over 1,100 yards combined the previous two seasons after finally staying healthy, but a hamstring injury close to the NFL Combine ruined any shot at the 23-year-old rising higher in the prospect ranks.
-
Cam Little 2005 K
Jaguars' Cam Little: Jacksonville selects in sixth round
9m agoThe Jaguars selected Little in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 212th overall.
Kickers are never easy to predict, but Little was a very good collegiate kicker at Arkansas and if he performs at a similar level in the NFL then this should prove a useful enough selection for Jacksonville. Little never missed an extra point attempt in college and made 4-of-5 field goal attempts from 50 yards or more in 2023. He'll compete with Riley Patterson and Joey Slye for the Jacksonville kicking role in 2024.

Alex Cobb SF SP
Giants' Alex Cobb: MRI comes back clean
1m agoImaging on Cobb's right shoulder came back negative Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Cobb was pulled off his throwing progression a few days ago after experiencing soreness in his shoulder, but he doesn't appear to be dealing with any structural damage. The 36-year-old veteran was moved to the 60-day IL last Saturday as he continues to work his way back from an offseason hip procedure, and he's also battled elbow problems during his rehab process. He remains several weeks out from returning to the Giants' rotation.
-
Tyler Glasnow LAD SP
Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Exits with cramps
10m agoGlasnow was removed from his start Saturday against the Blue Jays due to cramping in his right hand, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.
Glasnow didn't appear to be in significant pain when he was removed during the seventh inning of Saturday's contest, so his removal was likely precautionary. The Dodgers will monitor his situation, but it doesn't seem like the 30-year-old righty is at risk of missing his next start.
-
Sal Frelick MIL LF
Brewers' Sal Frelick: Idle against lefty
21m agoFrelick isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
The left-handed bat of Frelick will step out of the lineup Saturday as the Brewers prepare to face lefty Carlos Rodon. Joey Wiemer will fill in as Milwaukee's left fielder and bat ninth.
-
Brice Turang MIL 2B
Brewers' Brice Turang: Resting against lefty
25m agoTurang isn't in the Brewers' lineup Saturday against the Yankees.
Turang will sit down to begin the game as left-hander Carlos Rodon prepares to start on the mound for New York. Joey Ortiz will slide over to second base as a result, allowing Owen Miller to pick up a start at the hot corner and bat seventh.
-
Jose Abreu HOU 1B
Astros' Jose Abreu: Back at first base Saturday
25m agoAbreu is starting at first base and batting eighth in Saturday's contest against the Rockies in Mexico City.
Abreu has ceded the starting first base job to Jon Singleton as of late, with the former going 1-for-21 over his last seven games. Abreu will hope to turn around his poor start to the season Saturday against Rockies right-hander Cal Quantrill.
-
Jake Bauers MIL 1B
Brewers' Jake Bauers: Gets breather versus LHP
27m agoBauers isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
Southpaw Carlos Rodon will start on the hill Saturday for the Yankees, meaning the lefty-hitting Bauers will watch the beginning of the game from the dugout. Rhys Hoskins will cover first base in his absence while William Contreras serves as Milwaukee's DH and Gary Sanchez starts behind the plate.
-
Grayson Allen PHO SG
Suns' Grayson Allen: Questionable for Game 4
1h agoAllen (ankle) is questionable for Game 4 against the Timberwolves on Sunday, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.
Allen didn't play in Game 3 of the series Friday, and his status is unclear, although the questionable tag leaves the door open for a return in what might be the final game of the Suns' season. Allen is averaging just 3.5 points per game while shooting a meager 20 percent from the field in his two appearances during the current series.
-
Mitchell Robinson NY C
Knicks' Mitchell Robinson: Questionable for Sunday
1h agoRobinson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the 76ers.
Robinson didn't participate in Saturday's practice and was spotted wearing a walking boot after Game 3 on Thursday, so his chances of playing are slim to none, given the recent developments. If that's the case, then Precious Achiuwa would operate as the primary backup behind Isaiah Hartenstein.
-
Tim Hardaway Jr. DAL SG
Mavericks' Tim Hardaway: Doubtful to play in Game 4
1h agoHardaway is doubtful for Sunday's Game 4 against the Clippers due to a right ankle sprain.
Hardaway left Game 2 of the series on Tuesday after just six minutes of action and didn't feature in Game 3, so he's been extremely limited in the series. The doubtful tag isn't particularly encouraging ahead of Sunday's contest, but an official announcement should be made closer to Sunday's 3:30 p.m. ET tipoff. Even if he's available, he should come off the bench and his minutes could be closely monitored given his recent injury issues.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Questionable for Game 4
1h agoDoncic is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Clippers due to right knee soreness.
Doncic has been impressive for the Mavericks during the first-round matchup against the Clippers, averaging 29.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists per game through the first three contests. Even though it's not surprising to see Doncic dealing with soreness given his workload throughout the season, the issue shouldn't keep him away from playing -- and handling his usage rage -- in Sunday's contest.
-
Kawhi Leonard LAC SF
Clippers' Kawhi Leonard: Will be questionable for Game 4
2h agoLeonard (knee) will be questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Mavericks, head coach Tyronn Lue told Joey Linn of SI.com.
Leonard logged 25 minutes in Friday's Game 3 loss, finishing with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds and two assists, but he didn't look as fluid in his movements as he did in Game 2, where he was able to play 35 minutes while pouring 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals. His official status will be determined closer to Sunday's 3.30 p.m. ET tipoff, but if he's ruled out, then Terance Mann and Amir Coffey would be in line to pick up extra minutes.
-
Luke Kornet BOS C
Celtics' Luke Kornet: Available to play Saturday
2h agoKornet (calf) is available for Saturday's game against the Heat.
The availability of Kornet means the Celtics will be at full strength for Game 3 of the series against the Heat. Kornet should see minutes off the bench, though he's likely to have a very limited role with both Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford available.
-
Haydn Fleury TB D
Lightning's Haydn Fleury: Won't play Saturday
1h agoFleury (undisclosed) isn't expected to play in Game 4 against Florida on Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Fleury had a goal, five points, 31 hits and 40 blocks in 24 regular-season outings. He hasn't been in the lineup since April 6 because of the injury. If Fleury had been available for Game 4, he might have served as the seventh defenseman or been a healthy scratch.
-
Mikhail Sergachev TB D
Lightning's Mikhail Sergachev: Surprise return Saturday
1h agoSergachev (leg) was activated off long-term injured reserve, per the NHL media site, which sets him up to return for Game 4 against Florida on Saturday.
Sergachev was previously ruled out for the entire first round, so this news is a huge surprise. However, Tampa Bay is down 3-0 in the series, so if the defenseman didn't come back now, then it might have been too late. He had two goals, 19 points, 36 hits and 70 blocks in 34 regular-season appearances. While Sergachev typically serves in a top-four capacity, his minutes might be limited in his first contest since February 7.
-
Andrei Vasilevskiy TB G
Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Starting Game 4
1h agoVasilevskiy will protect the home net Saturday versus Florida in Game 4, per Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site.
Vasilevskiy has gone 0-3 this postseason, surrendering nine goals on 94 shots (.904 save percentage). The Lightning need a victory Saturday to avoid a four-game sweep, and the team should get a boost from having Mikhail Sergachev (leg) back in the lineup.
-
Brenden Dillon WPG D
Jets' Brenden Dillon: Questionable for Sunday
1h agoDillon didn't receive any muscle or tendon damage as a result of the skate cut to his hand, which occurred during a scrum at the end of Friday's 6-2 loss to Colorado in Game 3. Although it's great news that he didn't suffer a more serious injury, the 33-year-old defenseman did require stitches and remains questionable for Game 4 versus the Avalanche on Sunday, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports Saturday.
Dillon has three assists, four PIM, 12 hits and six blocks while averaging 21:04 of ice time across three playoff contests this year. He also accumulated eight goals, 20 points, 92 PIM, 241 hits and 111 blocks in 77 regular-season outings. If Dillon is forced to miss any action due to the injury, then Logan Stanley will likely draw into the lineup.
-
Derek Forbort BOS D
Bruins' Derek Forbort: Removed from LTIR
2h agoForbort (undisclosed) was activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Forbort sat out the final 20 games of the regular season and Boston's first three playoff contests. He will be an option to play in Game 4 against Toronto on Saturday, but it wouldn't be surprising if he served as a healthy scratch. The 32-year-old blueliner earned four assists, 22 shots on goal, 65 blocked shots and 68 hits in 35 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Sergei Bobrovsky FLA G
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Facing Lightning
3h agoBobrovsky will be between the visiting pipes in Tampa Bay on Saturday in Game 4, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Bobrovsky has been solid in net to help the Panthers take a 3-0 stranglehold on the best-of-seven series. He has allowed seven goals on 71 shots (.901 save percentage) against the Lightning in the opening round. Bobrovsky also had a stellar regular season, going 37-22-6 with a 2.42 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Florida can advance to the second round of the playoffs with a victory in Game 4.
