Lucas Patrick CHI OG
Saints' Lucas Patrick: Headed to Big Easy
5h agoThe Saints signed Patrick (calf) to a one-year contract Sunday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Patrick appeared in 23 games with 20 starts over the past two seasons with Chicago. The 30-year-old was the team's starting center for almost the entire 2023 campaign, but he ended the year on IR due to an unspecified calf injury. Whe the nature of this issue was never revealed, Patrick now appears to be healthy again. He should now provide depth along the interior of New Orleans' offensive line.

Ramon Jefferson 2005 RB
Buccaneers' Ramon Jefferson: Inks deal with Tampa
5h agoThe Buccaneers signed Jefferson on Sunday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
Jefferson was one of 26 players brought in on a tryout basis during Tampa Bay's rookie minicamp Friday and Saturday. The 5-foot-10 running back played at four different schools during his collegiate career, beginning at Maine in 2017. He spent his final two seasons with Kentucky after a standout stint at FCS Sam Houston, where he logged 1,907 yards on 299 carries across two years. However, he finished with just 28 rushes for 184 yards across 11 games with the Wildcats in 2023.

Kaden Davis ARI WR
Lions' Kaden Davis: Joining Detroit
9h agoThe Lions are signing Davis to a contract after he attended rookie camp on a tryout basis, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Davis was waived by the Cardinals in late April after spending most of last year on the team's practice squad. He was active for one contest during the campaign but didn't see any snaps. The 25-year-old will get a shot to compete for a roster spot among a wide-receiver corps that is headed by Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

Olumuyiwa Fashanu NYJ OT
Jets' Olumuyiwa Fashanu: Recovering from quad injury
9h agoFashanu strained his quadriceps while running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and could miss some or all of OTAs due to the injury, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Rosenblatt described the injury as minor, so Fashanu should be recovered well before the start of the regular season, but the 11th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft may not be ready to join his new teammates at the start of offseason workouts. The offensive tackle out of Penn State has been working off to the side with trainers during the Jets' rookie minicamp.

Bud Dupree ATL OLB
Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
1d agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly met with both the Falcons and Steelers recently in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

AJ Parker CAR CB
AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
1d agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

Jalen Beeks COL RP
Rockies' Jalen Beeks: Earns third save
2m agoBeeks allowed two hits in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. He did not strike out or walk a batter.
Beeks erased the first hit by inducing a double play, and he was able to finish the outing without too much danger. Unlike his save Friday, Beeks appeared to be the first option for closing -- Justin Lawrence hadn't pitched since Friday and was not used Saturday or earlier in Sunday's game. Through 19.1 innings this season, Beeks has a 2.33 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 14:8 K:BB with three saves, a blown save, one hold and a 2-2 record. The southpaw's lack of dominance makes him an outlier in terms of a closer profile, but it looks like he'll get his chances anyway in the Rockies' committee situation after starting the year well.
-
Ty Blach COL RP
Rockies' Ty Blach: Grabs win Sunday
7m agoBlach (1-1) allowed one run on seven hits and struck out two without walking a batter over five innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rangers.
Blach limited the damage to a run-scoring single by Adolis Garcia in the first inning. This was Blach's second start of the campaign, and he was able to throw 70 pitches (46 strikes) in a fairly efficient performance. The 33-year-old is at a 3.00 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB over 18 innings across five appearances in 2024. Blach has never been a pitcher known for racking up strikeouts, and his tenuous grip on a spot in the rotation, coupled with a challenging home park, will make him a risky fantasy option. He's tentatively projected to make his next start at San Francisco.
-
Jack Flaherty DET SP
Tigers' Jack Flaherty: Another quality start Sunday
8m agoFlaherty (0-3) was tagged with a loss after he pitched 6.2 innings, surrendering three runs on seven hits while striking out seven batters in Sunday's 9-3 defeat to Houston.
Flaherty opened Sunday's contest by firing five scoreless innings before Kyle Tucker launched a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning. The Astros scratched across another run on him in the seventh frame before the right-hander's day came to an end with two outs in the inning. The performance marked his third straight quality start and sixth of the season over eight outings. Flaherty now owns a 3.88 ERA and 1.05 WHIP with 63 strikeouts over 48.2 innings in eight starts in 2024 and he'll look to earn his first win of the year in his next projected start Saturday on the road in Arizona.
-
Jose Urena TEX RP
Rangers' Jose Urena: Pitches well in loss
11m agoUrena (1-3) allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 6.2 innings, but he took the loss Sunday versus the Rockies.
Urena pitched well, especially given the unfriendly venue, in his second start of the campaign. He's allowed four runs (three earned) with a 5:3 K:BB over 11.2 innings across two starts since moving into the rotation. Urena has a 3.62 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB over 32.1 innings across 12 appearances this season, though he began the year as a long reliever. If Nathan Eovaldi (groin) can return when first eligible May 18, Urena will likely return to the bullpen. A pair of off days (Thursday and Monday, May 20) could also allow the Rangers to get by with a four-man rotation temporarily, though Urena's pitched well enough that it wouldn't be odd to see him get another start.
-
Kyle Tucker HOU RF
Astros' Kyle Tucker: Homers in victory
36m agoTucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Tigers.
Tucker took Tigers starter Jack Flaherty deep for a two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning, giving Houston a 2-0 lead over Detroit. The outfielder has now gone deep 13 times this season and five times in his last six contests. Over the last six games, he went 5-for-20 with five home runs, seven RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base.
-
Jake Meyers HOU CF
Astros' Jake Meyers: Three hits, three RBI in win
1h agoMeyers went 3-for-3 with three RBI in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Tigers.
Meyers entered the game as a pinch hitter for Trey Cabbage in the top of the seventh inning, notching an RBI single. He proceeded to add two more RBI base knocks in the eighth and ninth frames, making the most of his three at-bats in the contest. The outfielder is now batting .360 with two triples, a double, four RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base over 25 at-bats in May.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Available for Game 4
2h agoMurray (calf) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Murray has been dealing with a calf injury throughout the series and is yet to miss a game, so it isn't surprising to see him shed another questionable tag. After struggling in the first two games of the series, Murray bounced back in Game 3 with a 24-point outing on solid efficiency, and he will look to carry that momentum over to Sunday's matchup.
-
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Available Sunday
3h agoCaldwell-Pope (abdomen) will play in Sunday's Game 4 against the Timberwolves.
Caldwell-Pope was deemed questionable ahead of gametime due to a right abdominal contusion, but he will suit up for Sunday's matchup. Battling through the same injury in Game 3, Caldwell-Pope logged 37 minutes, so he should be in for a full workload Sunday.
-
Reggie Jackson DEN PG
Nuggets' Reggie Jackson: Good to go
3h agoJackson (calf) is available for Sunday's Game 4 against Minnesota.
Jackson will overcome a second consecutive questionable tag to suit up for Sunday's matchup. Jackson has had a limited presence this series as he has battled injury, averaging just 4.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in 10.7 minutes through three games.
-
Olivier-Maxence Prosper DAL SF
Mavericks' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Won't play Monday
4h agoProsper (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Thunder.
Prosper has missed nine straight games with a sprained left ankle. His next chance to play will come Wednesday.
-
Craig Porter Jr. CLE PG
Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Sidelined for Game 4
4h agoPorter (ankle) won't play in Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics.
Porter has missed 11 consecutive contests due to a sprained left ankle. Even if healthy, Porter likely wouldn't factor into the rotation.
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Still out
4h agoJerome (ankle) won't play in Monday's Game 4 against Boston.
Jerome hasn't suited up since October due to a right ankle injury that required surgery. Even if he were to return at some point during the playoffs, he likely wouldn't be part of the Cavs' rotation.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Unavailable Sunday
39m agoDi Giuseppe (personal) will not play Sunday against Edmonton, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe missed Sunday's practice and will now be absent for at least one game, though the team hasn't provided much information on when he's expected to return. He has one assist in eight playoff games and has been held scoreless over his last six contests. Linus Karlsson will dress in his absence Sunday.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Guarding cage Sunday
45m agoSkinner will get the starting nod at home against Vancouver on Sunday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Skinner helped tie the series at 1-1 by stopping 16 shots in Friday's Game 2 victory. He's struggled so far against the Canucks, yielding eight goals on 43 shots in two contests. Skinner has won five of his seven postseason starts despite registering a lackluster .888 save percentage in the process.
-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Guarding cage Sunday
4h agoSwayman will get the starting nod at home against the Panthers for Game 4 on Sunday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Swayman has been plastered with nine goals on 55 shots over the last two games but it hasn't been enough for Boston to flip back to Linus Ullmark. This will mark nine straight starts for Swayman dating back to the first round against Toronto. During his last eight games, he's posted a .925 save percentage while picking up four wins.
-
Phillip Di Giuseppe VAN LW
Canucks' Phil Di Giuseppe: Absent from practice
7h agoDi Giuseppe (personal) was away from the team Sunday, putting his availability for Sunday's Game 3 against the Oilers in question, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Di Giuseppe has one assist through eight games so far in the postseason while averaging 10:11 of ice time. Either Nils Aman or Vasily Podkolzin would likely enter the lineup if Di Giuseppe is unavailable Sunday.
-
Arturs Silovs VAN G
Canucks' Arturs Silovs: Back in net Sunday
8h agoSilovs will guard the road crease in Game 3 against Edmonton on Sunday, Mike Zeisberger of NHL.com reports.
Silovs will make his fifth straight start for Vancouver -- he's 3-2-0 with an .899 save percentage in the postseason while allowing four goals in each of his first two games against the Oilers. Casey DeSmith is healthy and will back up Silovs on Sunday.
-
Adam Henrique EDM C
Oilers' Adam Henrique: Ruled out Sunday
9h agoHenrique (undisclosed) won't play Sunday in Game 3 against Vancouver, Tony Brar of OilersTV reports.
Henrique saw 11:38 of ice time in Game 2 on Friday after missing Game 1 with a lower-body injury -- likely the same injury that will sideline the veteran forward Sunday. Henrique has a goal and an assist in six postseason games, both coming in the opening contest of Edmonton's first-round matchup with the Kings. Connor Brown will reenter the lineup in Henrique's absence.
