Tyler Boyd CIN WRTitans' Tyler Boyd: Finds home in Tennessee
1h agoBoyd and the Titans agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year contract worth up to $4.5 million, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Boyd becomes the newest member of a revamped Tennessee wide receiver corps that added Calvin Ridley atop the depth chart in a huge free agency contract, joining DeAndre Hopkins and Treylon Burks. Ridley and Hopkins figure to operate as quarterback Will Levis' clear top two targets, as both exceeded 1,000 receiving yards last season. Boyd's experience could make him the favorite to secure the No. 3 role over Burks, though it's perhaps more probable that Boyd dominates slot reps while Burks sees more opportunities on the outside. In both 2018 and 2019, Boyd himself topped 1,000 yards, but in four seasons since took a clear backseat to Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins with the Bengals.

Tank Dell HOU WRTexans' Tank Dell: Full recovery from wound expected
2h agoTexans Chief Executive Officer Cal McNair indicated Monday that Dell (leg) is expected to make a "full recovery" from what the team has described as a minor wound that occurred during an April 27th shooting, the Associated Press reports.
Though McNair didn't provide details on the nature of the wideout's injury, he noted "it looks like Tank will make a full recovery. We saw him in the office the other day and he looked good, in good spirits. But he'll have to rehab and get back to where he was." Per the report, Dell has recovered from a fibula injury that he sustained last December, but it remains to be seen if the 2023 third-rounder's participation in the Texans' upcoming OTAs will be impacted by the wound he sustained last month. Once Dell has recovered, he'll be in line to reclaim his role in a Houston wide receiver corps that also returns Nico Collins, Robert Woods, Noah Brown and John Metchie, and has been bolstered by high-profile trade acquisition Stefon Diggs. In 11 regular-season games in 2023, Dell made his mark as a rookie by recording a 47-709-7 receiving line, while serving as a key pass-catching option for ascending signal-caller C.J. Stroud.

Christian Gonzalez NE CBPatriots' Christian Gonzalez: Recovering well, unsure for OTAs
2h agoGonzalez (shoulder) said Tuesday he feels "healthy" but is unsure how much he'll participate in OTAs, Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald reports.
Gonzalez, a 2023 first-round pick, had a strong start to his career before suffering a season-ending right torn labrum in just Week 4. Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Gonzalez is still rehabbing and focusing on strengthening his shoulder, so it sounds like he may be a limited participant at best when OTAs kick off May 20. Barring any setbacks, there are no concerns about Gonzalez gaining full medical clearance in advance of the 2024 regular season, and returning to a starting role at cornerback.

Jake Haener NO QBSaints' Jake Haener: Competition for QB2
15h agoHaener appears to be the early frontrunner to serve as the QB2 for the Saints this offseason, John Hendrix of Sports Illustrated reports.
Haener was suspended for the first six games of his 2023 campaign and has yet to make his NFL debut. However, the 6-foot-1 signal-caller should have a chance to establish himself as QB2 after New Orleans made several changes at the quarterback position this offseason. Last year's No. 2 QB Jameis Winston signed with the Colts in March. Meanwhile, the Saints signed veteran backup Nathan Peterman and fourth-year pro Kellen Mond this offseason before selecting Spencer Rattler in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Carr is still clearly set as the starter, but the competition to be his primary reserve figures to be wide open this offseason. Haener's experience within the Saints' quarterback room should give him an immediate leg up on Peterman, Mond and Rattler. The 33-year-old Taysom Hill also is listed as a quarterback by the Saints, but he's better described as a multi-use player who regularly slots in at positions across the offense and special teams. It's highly unlikely that the team will carry more than three quarterbacks on the active roster during the 2024 campaign. Therefore, it will be worth monitoring how this competition shapes up during offseason workouts and training camp while projecting this QB depth chart.

The offensive guard and three-time Pro Bowler spent his first nine seasons in New Orleans. Peat has started 102 of his 111 career games, but he is listed as the Raiders' backup left guard behind Dylan Parham.

Marlon Davidson TEN DETitans' Marlon Davidson: Re-signs with Tennessee
18h agoDavidson re-signed with the Titans on Monday after spending the 2023 season with the team.
The defensive tackle played in five games and on 153 defensive snaps last year, recording 10 tackles. Davidson finished with 29 tackles in two seasons with the Falcons before missing the 2022 season with a knee injury. The 2020 second-round pick is behind Jeffery Simmons on Tennessee's depth chart.

Ian Gibaut CIN RPReds' Ian Gibaut: Transferred to 60-day IL
4m agoGibaut (forearm) was moved to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
Gibaut was shut down from throwing late in April due to lingering issues with his strained right forearm and has now been put on the 60-day IL. He's consistently had his timetable for return pushed back after being said to be questionable for Opening Day in early March. Now, he'll have plenty of time for rehab before likely coming back in July or August.

5m agoAnderson made his most recent appearance as a reliever in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Twins, covering two scoreless innings while giving up one hit and one walk and striking out one.
Anderson made a spot start April 25 in Cleveland, but his relief appearance over the weekend signals that he'll lose out on a rotation spot with Nick Pivetta (elbow) on track to return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday in Atlanta.

Martini was the Reds' Opening Day designated hitter and hit two home runs that day, but he slashed only .160/.185/.240 in 28 games after that. The 33-year-old had seen his playing time dwindle and it was going to further evaporate with TJ Friedl off the injured list.

16m agoThe Reds activated Montas (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday.
Montas is set to rejoin the rotation Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks after missing the last two weeks with a bruised right forearm. The Reds have opted to bring him back without a rehab start, as Montas evidently looked good enough in a couple bullpen sessions to convince the team he was ready. Because of that, he might not be be able to handle a full workload. That, combined with his uneven performance before the injury, makes Montas an iffy fantasy start Tuesday.

2h agoWood exercised his $3 million player option for the 2024-25 season Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Wood was a sporadic part of the rotation in Los Angeles this season, appearing in 50 games with averages of 6.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17.4 minutes. There could potentially be a lot of changes for the Lakers this offseason depending on whether or not LeBron James picks up his player option, so it's difficult to project Wood's role for next season at the moment.

6h agoGordon registered 20 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Monday's 106-80 loss to Minnesota in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Gordon played with tons of energy and tried to spark the rest of the team throughout the game, but his efforts were unsuccessful. This game snapped a three-game streak of Gordon not being able to reach double-digit figures in the scoring column, and Gordon needs to remain a valuable offensive alternative for the Nuggets if they want to have a shot at turning the series around, especially given the struggles of both Jamal Murray and Michael Porter.

6h agoJokic amassed 16 points (5-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 16 rebounds, eight assists and one block across 39 minutes during Monday's 106-80 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Jokic can change a game by himself at any point of a contest and is dominant enough to carry Denver to victory on a regular basis, but he hasn't been able to do it in the first two games of the current series. The two-time MVP winner is averaging 27.0 points, 15.0 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game through seven playoff contests. While he remains an absolute stud in fantasy regardless of what happens with the Nuggets as a team, he needs his teammates to take a step forward to avoid an early exit in their quest to win back-to-back NBA titles.

6h agoMurray finished with eight points (3-18 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 106-80 loss to Minnesota in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray has struggled badly in the postseason when it comes to his efficiency despite the fact he had some good moments in the series against the Lakers. However, Monday's game was a new low for him, as he missed 15 of his 18 shots and didn't reach the 10-point plateau for the first time since Feb. 29. Murray needs to bounce back if the Nuggets want to have a shot at turning things around. He's averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting just 28.1 percent from the floor in his first two appearances in the series.

6h agoAlexander-Walker accumulated 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 30 minutes during Monday's 106-80 win over the Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
As has been the case throughout the entire playoff run, Alexander-Walker was impressive and provided a scoring punch off the bench, unsettling the Nuggets with his long-range shooting and energy. Alexander-Walker averaged just 8.0 points per game during the regular season, but he's taken his play to another level in the playoffs, scoring in double digits in four of his six appearances while upping his scoring average to 11.3 points per game.

Towns was tasked with more responsibility on the defensive end since Rudy Gobert (personal) was unavailable for this contest. Even though he had to deal with Nikola Jokic on both ends of the court, Towns thrived and posted a great stat line. This was Towns' third double-double over his last four playoff appearances, and he's expected to return to his role at power forward in case Gobert is ready to return for Game 3 of the series, scheduled for Friday.

Henrique is considered day-to-day after being absent from several practices following Edmonton's first-round series win over the Kings. Mattias Janmark is slated to see time on the Oilers' top line due to Henrique's absence, and Connor Brown will draw back into the lineup after sitting as a healthy scratch for the entirety of the Oilers' five-game series win over LA.

The Stars are coming off a hard-fought seven-game series win over Vegas, so the Avalanche will have the upper hand in terms of rest early in on in the second round.

The 25-year-old will have a tough matchup against Colorado, who leads the league in playoff goals with 28 in only five games. The Stars will likely continue to ride Oettinger throughout their postseason run.
