4m agoRumph (foot) worked with trainers during OTAs on Monday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Rumph suffered a broken foot during warmups of the Chargers' Week 10 matchup, which put an early end to his season. His inability to practice with the team suggests the Duke product is still working on his recovery, but is at least making progress in doing so.

Oliver has spent the bulk of his first six NFL seasons at cornerback, but with his move to the Jets in free agency, a new position awaits the 27-year-old.

14m agoJones (shoulder) is ready to get back on the field during OTAs, Danny Jaillet of USA Today reports.
Jones suffered a torn labrum in Week 2 last season and then spent the rest of the 2023 campaign on injured reserve. His ability to return to the field, and be ready for the 2024 campaign is great news for New England, who dealt with multiple injuries to key pieces of their secondary last year.

34m agoEnagbare (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Enagbare was able to avoid a significant injury, which was originally believed to be an ACL tear, during the Packers' wild-card win over the Cowboys last season. It's not clear how involved he was while participating, and if he did team or individual drills. However, his ability to be on the field this early in his recovery is good news for the South Carolina product and the Packers.

42m agoCoach Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that Jacobs (hamstring) isn't practicing but should return to the field before too long, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Jacobs was limited during OTAs on Tuesday, but it doesn't sound like the Packers are too concerned about his health. In the meantime, rookie third-round pick MarShawn Lloyd and returning veteran AJ Dillon will get extra backfield reps until Jacobs is ready to go. Jacobs at least worked on the side Tuesday, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, so he's already getting acclimated to his new offense.

1h agoLanders signed a contract with the Browns on Tuesday.
Landers joined the Seahawks as a UDFA out of Arkansas last spring and ultimately spent time on their practice squad, as well as Carolina's after Seattle cut him. He'll now get a new opportunity with Cleveland ahead of the 2024 campaign.

1m agoGarcia (forearm) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Philadelphia.
The 31-year-old was scratched from Sunday's lineup due to right forearm discomfort, but he was cleared of a serious injury when medical imaging came back clean. Garcia will still sit for the second straight game Tuesday, allowing Derek Hill, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Round Rock, to receive a start in right field.

Austin Pruitt TEX RPRangers' Austin Pruitt: Shifted to 60-day IL
8m agoPruitt (knee) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
Pruitt was placed on the 15-day IL on Apr. 24 with an injury to his right meniscus but will need more time for recovery. He'll be unable to return until mid-June at the earliest, though it's unclear how far along he is in the recovery process.

Patrick Bailey SF CGiants' Patrick Bailey: Cleared to return to action
8m agoBailey (concussion) was cleared to return to action after being examined by Dr. Mickey Collins on Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Collins, who is a concussion expert, cleared Bailey for baseball activities this past Friday and has now given the go-ahead for the catcher to play in games. While the Giants have not yet made a roster move involving Bailey, it would appear imminent. The 24-year-old has played just one game since May 4 because of concussion issues.

15m agoThe Cubs recalled Vazquez from Triple-A Iowa on Tuesday.
Vazquez, 27, has hit .262 with three home runs over 39 games with Iowa this season. He will provide some protection on the infield with Nico Hoerner (hamstring) banged up and would be making his major-league debut if/when he gets into a game.

21m agoMcCormick (hamstring) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
McCormick has missed all of May with hamstring soreness, but he'll return to the active roster after a six-game rehab stint. The 29-year-old went 5-for-23 with a pair of doubles and a stolen base in the minors. While McCormick should end up as the Astros' starting left fielder, he's likely to split time with Joey Loperfido and could see more DH work considering the fragility of a hamstring injury.

1h agoTillman (personal) has been ruled out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers on Tuesday.
Tillman will join Kristaps Porzingis (calf) as unavailable, but the former's absence shouldn't impact Boston's rotation, as he's appeared in just three of Boston's first 10 postseason contests. Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to handle all meaningful minutes at center in Game 1.

Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Questionable for Game 1
22h agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.

23h agoPorzingis (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Pacers.
As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.

Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

1d agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.

1d agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.

Martin Pospisil CGY CFlames' Martin Pospisil: Injured at World Championship
24m agoPospisil suffered an apparent upper-body injury in Slovakia's matchup with Sweden on Monday, Claire Hanna of TSN reports.
Pospisil has been lighting it up at the international tournament with three goals and four assists. In his rookie campaign, the 24-year-old center notched eight goals and 16 helpers despite not having a significant role with the man advantage. Barring a long-term injury, Pospisil should be capable of improving on those numbers in his sophomore campaign.

Ryan McDonagh NSH DLightning's Ryan McDonagh: Returning to Bolts
3h agoMcDonagh was traded to the Lightning from the Predators along with a 2024 fourth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and 2024 seventh-round pick.
McDonagh spent five seasons with the Lightning during his previous stint, logging 267 regular-season games for the club while lifting Lord Stanley's Cup twice during his stay. McDonagh figures to slot into a third pairing for the Lightning. With the acquisition of McDonagh, Tampa Bay is unlikely to re-sign Matt Dumba or Calvin de Haan.

4h agoLindgren was absent for his third straight day due to maintenance issues, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports Tuesday.
At this point, Lindgren's absences are becoming a concern regarding his availability for Game 1 against the Panthers on Wednesday. If the blueliner does miss any contests, it will likely result in increased ice time for Erik Gustafsson in addition to seeing Zac Jones enter the lineup for the first time since April 7 versus the Habs.

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Inks one-year contract
4h agoMiner signed a one-year contract extension with the Avalanche on Tuesday.
Miner spent his time in the AHL and ECHL this season. He recorded an impressive .930 save percentage through 18 appearances during his time in the AHL as well as a .917 save percentage through 11 ECHL appearances. Alexandar Georgiev and Justus Annunen are both under contract through 2024-25, so Miner will likely spend most, if not all, of next season in the minors.

15h agoLindholm logged an assist, two shots on goal, five hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Lindholm did his part in the second round with three goals and four assists over seven games, but it wasn't enough to extend the Canucks' season. The center produced 22 points over 39 contests between the regular season and playoffs with Vancouver following his trade from Calgary. The 29-year-old is set for unrestricted free agency and figures to be one of the biggest names on the market July 1, assuming he doesn't re-up with the Canucks before then.

15h agoHughes notched an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Oilers in Game 7.
Hughes produced five assists over seven second-round games. The 24-year-old defenseman concluded the postseason with 10 helpers, 21 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 13 appearances. Hughes' goal-scoring took a step forward with 17 tallies among his 92 points in the regular season, but he's always been more of a facilitator from the blue line. The Canucks' captain remains an integral part of the club's future heading into 2024-25.
