AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
3h agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
3h agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
3h agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
6h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.
-
Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
22h agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.
-
Je'Quan Burton 2005 WR
Dolphins' Je'Quan Burton: Headed to Miami
22h agoThe Dolphins signed Burton on Friday.
As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Burton hauled in 24 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Miami's wide receiver depth chart will be tough to crack for any undrafted rookie ahead of 2024.
-
Kevin Herget MIL RP
Brewers' Kevin Herget: Heads back to Triple-A
19m agoHerget was optioned to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.
Herget gave up two earned runs while recording a three-inning save and failing to notch a strikeout Friday against the Cardinals. Mitch White was added to the Brewers' active roster in a corresponding move.
-
Brayan Rocchio CLE SS
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Resting Saturday
43m agoRocchio is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.
Rocchio has gone 0-for-8 with two strikeouts over the first two games of the series, and the 23-year-old rookie will begin Saturday's game in the dugout. Gabriel Arias will start at shortstop and bat ninth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger.
-
Tyler Freeman CLE CF
Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Not starting Saturday
1h agoFreeman is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.
Freeman broke a three-game hitless streak during Friday's 6-3 loss when he swatted a solo home run, his first since April 19. Ramon Laureano will start in center field Saturday and bat sixth against White Sox right-hander Mike Clevinger.
-
Charlie Blackmon COL RF
Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Sits vs. lefty
1h agoBlackmon is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rangers.
Blackmon will head to the bench with a lefty, Andrew Heaney, on the mound for Texas. Elias Diaz picks up the start at designated hitter while Jacob Stallings starts behind the plate.
-
Elehuris Montero COL 1B
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: Sitting amid slump
1h agoMontero is not in Saturday's lineup against the Rangers.
Hunter Goodman is picking up the start at first base and batting eighth for the second time in six days. Montero is hitting .161 with 10 strikeouts and one walk in eight games this month.
-
Kyle Tucker HOU RF
Astros' Kyle Tucker: Gets Saturday off
1h agoTucker is not in the Astros' starting lineup for Satuday's game against the Tigers, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.
Tucker has gone deep in four of his last five games, and his 12 home runs on the season is tied with Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna for most in the majors. Joey Loperfido will start in right field Saturday and bat ninth against Detroit southpaw Tarik Skubal.
-
Daniel Gafford DAL C
Mavericks' Daniel Gafford: Heads to locker room
4m agoGafford exited the game in the second quarter of Game 3 on Saturday with a left shoulder injury, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.
An injury to Gafford could be devastating for the Mavericks, as he's been a solid contributor down low for Dallas. If he's unable to return, then Dereck Lively would be in line for a bigger role.
-
Wendell Carter Jr. ORL C
Magic's Wendell Carter: Undergoing offseason surgery
6m agoCarter will undergo surgery to stabilize the third metacarpal in his left hand, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday. Carter is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2024-25 season.
In simpler terms, Carter will have a procedure to fully fix his left hand -- the same hand he sustained a fractured middle finger on early this season -- and is expected to be ready for the 2024-25 campaign. Carter missed a month and a half after sustaining the injury in November -- which required surgery -- but was able to return and appear in 55 games (48 starts) overall. He's set for re-evaluation four weeks after the procedure.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Good to go
3h agoDoncic (knee/ankle) is available for Saturday's Game 3 against Oklahoma City.
Doncic has been dealing with a sprained right knee and, more recently, a sore left ankle. However, he's been able to play in every playoff contest this far and will be active for Game 3. Doncic has averaged 24.0 points, 8.0 assists, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals over 41.0 minutes in the first two games of the series.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Shines in Game 3 victory
5h agoHaliburton closed Friday's 111-106 win over New York in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 35 points (14-26 FG, 6-16 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes.
The Pacers needed Haliburton to carry them offensively, and while Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner delivered impressive stat lines, Haliburton was the engine that kept the team going. This 35-point effort was a playoff-high mark during the current season, and he seems to be catching fire after surpassing the 30-point plateau in each of his last two appearances.
-
Pascal Siakam IND PF
Pacers' Pascal Siakam: Goes for 26 points in Game 3 win
5h agoSiakam logged 26 points (9-14 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 111-106 win over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Siakam was remarkably efficient during Friday's win, and even though Tyrese Haliburton grabbed most of the headlines with his 35-point effort, Siakam's impact on offense can't be overlooked. The star big man could be in line for another solid showing in Game 4 of the series Sunday, as the Knicks are extremely depleted in the frontcourt while missing key defensive contributors such as Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring).
-
Myles Turner IND C
Pacers' Myles Turner: Double-doubles, swats three shots
6h agoTurner notched 21 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 35 minutes during Friday's 111-106 victory over the Knicks in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
Turner made his presence felt on both ends of the court Friday, tying his playoff-high mark in blocks while recording his first double-double of the current playoff run. The Pacers need Turner to continue making a two-way impact if they're going to turn things around in the series, especially considering how depleted the Knicks are in the frontcourt with Julius Randle (shoulder), Mitchell Robinson (ankle) and OG Anunoby (hamstring) all out for Game 4.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Still unavailable
39m agoHakanpaa (lower body) won't play Saturday in Game 3 against Colorado, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hakanpaa missed the final 13 games of the regular season and will sit out his 10th consecutive playoff contest. He earned two goals, 12 points, 56 shots on net, 123 blocked shots and 196 hits in 64 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Back in goal for Game 3
3h agoOettinger will guard the road cage Saturday against Colorado in Game 3, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Oettinger has allowed seven goals on 57 shots in the first two games of the series, but he'll be back at it Saturday with Dallas looking to take the lead in the series. Oettinger is 5-4-0 in the postseason with a .914 save percentage and 2.24 GAA.
-
Arvid Holm COL G
Arvid Holm: Signs overseas
3h agoHolm has signed a three-year contract with Rogle BK of the SHL, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
-
Brad Marchand BOS LW
Bruins' Brad Marchand: Deemed day-to-day
3h agoMarchand (upper body) was deemed day-to-day by coach Jim Montgomery on Saturday.
Marchand was forced out of Friday's 6-2 Game 3 loss after taking a hit from Sam Bennett. The 36-year-old Marchand has three goals and 10 points in 10 games this postseason. He'll likely be a game-time decision prior to Game 4 on Sunday. Jesper Boqvist would likely reenter the lineup if Marchand ultimately can't play.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Not skating Saturday
5h agoChytil (illness) wasn't present at morning skate Saturday prior to Game 4 in Carolina, Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today reports.
Chytil played 12:02 of ice time in Game 3, marking his first appearance since early November as he returned from a head injury. There's a chance the Rangers hold the 24-year-old center out Saturday, which would allow Matt Rempe to slot back into the lineup.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Supplies assist in loss
14h agoSoucy logged an assist and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
Soucy has found more success in the second round with three helpers over two games after he put up just one assist in six contests during the first round versus the Predators. The 29-year-old blueliner isn't expected to put up a lot of offense while filling a bottom-four role on defense. Soucy has added 24 hits, seven blocked shots, four PIM and a plus-2 rating through eight playoff contests.
