Phillip Dorsett DEN WR
Broncos' Phillip Dorsett: Back with Denver
41m agoDorsett signed with the Broncos on Monday after being released on Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
The wide receiver spent 2023 with Denver's practice squad, played in two games and didn't catch any of his three targets. The 2015 first-round pick has just 21 catches over the past four seasons with four different teams. Now he'll get a chance to stick with Denver on a depth chart that includes 12 wide receivers.

Jacques Patrick NYJ RB
Jacques Patrick: Let go by Jets
1h agoPatrick was waived by the Jets on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The running back signed with New York's practice squad in December and was signed to a reserve/future contract in January. Patrick last appeared in an NFL game in 2021 with the 49ers.
-
John Penisini NO DT
John Penisini: Waived by New Orleans
1h agoPenisini was waived by the Saints on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The defensive tackle played in 32 games with the Lions between the 2020 and '21 seasons but has not appeared in an NFL game since. Penisini was waived from Carolina's reserve/PUP list in August 2023.

T.J. Smith MIN DT
Panthers' T.J. Smith: Agrees to terms with Carolina
3h agoThe Panthers signed Smith on Monday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Smith bounced back-and-forth between the Vikings' practice squad and active roster over the course of three-year NFL career, but he's now found a new home in Carolina. The 27-year-old defensive lineman has appeared in four games during his time in the league, recording 11 total tackles while playing 108 total snaps (86 defensive and 22 on special teams). He's expected to compete for a backup role on the Panthers' defense as the offseason advances.

Jared Goff DET QB
Lions' Jared Goff: Lands four-year, $212M extension
3h agoThe Lions signed Goff to a four-year, $212 million contract extension Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The deal contains $170 million guaranteed, and Goff is now the highest-paid player in Lions franchise history. The 2016 No. 1 overall pick of the Rams, Goff was acquired from Los Angeles in the Matthew Stafford haul prior to the 2021 season and has resurrected his career under Detroit OC Ben Johnson. In three seasons with Detroit, Goff has completed 66.5 percent of his passes, up from 63.4 percent with Los Angeles, and has thrown for 12,258 yards with a splendid 78:27 TD:INT mark. He's lowered his turnover rate with Detroit and just helped lead the team to the NFC Championship Game last season. Goff is still just 29 years old and is locked in with the Lions for at least the next few seasons.
-
Ke'Shawn Vaughn NE RB
Ke'Shawn Vaughn: Dropped by New England
4h agoThe Patriots released Vaughn on Monday, Evan Lazar of the team's official site reports.
The 27-year-old running back out of Vanderbilt signed a reserve/future contract with the Patriots back in January, but he's now been cut loose. Vaughn has spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Buccaneers, recording 384 rushing yards on 103 attempts. This move comes as New England frees up space within the 90-man roster limit, and Vaughn will now seek an opportunity to compete elsewhere.

Cody Bradford TEX SP
Rangers' Cody Bradford: Throws Monday, but far off return
7m agoBradford (ribs) played catch Monday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
According to MLB.com, manager Bruce Bochy said Friday that Bradford could be cleared to begin throwing off a mound at some point later on this week during the Rangers' six-game homestand. Bradford was originally placed on the 15-day injured list April 14 with lower-back soreness, but follow-up tests revealed that the southpaw had a "very small" stress fracture on the 12th rib on the right side of his body. Bochy said that the Rangers are expecting Bradford to be sidelined for another month, which would put him in line for a return around the middle of June. Bradford went 3-0 with a 1.40 ERA in three starts prior to landing on the IL, but the Rangers may not have a rotation spot available for him once he's healthy.

Mauricio Dubon HOU CF
Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Hits bench after four-hit game
29m agoDubon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.
After rapping out a season-high four hits in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Tigers, Dubon will retreat to the bench as the Astros open a four-game set with the Athletics. Dubon had started in four of the past five games, but he's still seemingly viewed as a utility player for Houston and hasn't yet seized hold of an everyday spot in the lineup.
-
Joey Loperfido HOU LF
Astros' Joey Loperfido: Heading to bench Monday
31m agoLoperfido is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Athletics.
With a single and a double in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Tigers, Loperfido propped his on-base percentage up to .367 for the season, but the rookie still has yet to take full control of an everyday spot in the lineup. He'll hit the bench for the second time in four games while catcher Yainer Diaz gets a day off behind the plate and serves as Houston's designated hitter. Meanwhile, Yordan Alvarez will pick up a start in left field, where Loperfido has seen most of his big-league action thus far.
-
J.D. Davis OAK 3B
Athletics' J.D. Davis: Losing work to Soderstrom
34m agoDavis remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.
Davis has now started just once in the Athletics' last five games, as he's seemingly moved into the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Tyler Soderstrom, who has recently taken over as the team's primary first baseman. The 31-year-old has supplied a career-worst .586 OPS over 83 plate appearances this season, and the non-contending Athletics don't have much incentive to give him regular playing time while he's struggling to produce.
-
Tyler Nevin OAK 1B
Athletics' Tyler Nevin: Sitting against righty again
38m agoNevin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.
Nevin is on the bench for the fourth time in seven games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With both Brett Harris and Tyler Soderstrom having settled into everyday roles at the corner-infield spots, the right-handed-hitting Nevin looks like he'll be limited to short-side platoon duties for the time being.
-
Max Schuemann OAK 2B
Athletics' Max Schuemann: Settling in as everyday shortstop
41m agoSchuemann will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Monday's game against the Astros.
Schuemann will pick up his sixth consecutive start after going 5-for-19 with a home run, two doubles, two walks, four RBI and three runs over Oakland's previous five games. He looks poised to operate as the Athletics' primary shortstop while Darell Hernaiz is on the injured list with a severe ankle sprain.
-
Luka Doncic DAL PG
Mavericks' Luka Doncic: Cleared for Game 4
13m agoDoncic (knee) will play in Monday's Game 4 against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
Doncic took a step in the right direction by participating in morning shootaround, and he's since been given the green light to suit up for Monday's matchup. The star point guard has been held in check by his standards through the first three games of the series, knocking down 42.1 percent of his tries from the field and 35.0 percent from downtown.
-
Caris LeVert CLE SG
Cavaliers' Caris LeVert: Will start sans Mitchell
2h agoLeVert will start Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
The Cavaliers, already playing without Jarrett Allen (ribs), also lost Donovan Mitchell (calf) for Game 4, so LeVert will get his first crack in the starting lineup during the postseason. Over the last two games against the Celtics, LeVert has averaged 18.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 51.7 percent from the field. Across 10 starts during the regular season, LeVert averaged 16.2 points, 7.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 34.3 minutes.
-
Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Remains out for Game 4
2h agoAllen (ribs) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Serena Winters of Bally Sports Cleveland reports.
Allen will miss a seventh straight game due to a right rib contusion. Evan Mobley will continue to start at center, while Isaac Okoro slots in at power forward. Donovan Mitchell (calf) is also out, so Caris LeVert will join the first five for the first time during the postseason. Allen's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Boston.
-
Donovan Mitchell CLE SG
Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Won't play Monday
2h agoMitchell (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 against the Celtics, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
Mitchell had been stellar over his last six postseason appearances, averaging 35.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 35.3 minutes. However, he suffered a strained left calf during Game 3 and will be sidelined for a critical matchup in Cleveland. With Mitchell out, Caris LeVert may slide into the starting lineup at shooting guard, while Isaac Okoro, Sam Merrill and Marcus Morris are also candidates for increased offensive roles.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Considered questionable
3h agoHaliburton is questionable for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Knicks due to low back spasms, a sacral contusion and a right ankle sprain.
Despite all the injuries, Haliburton has been spectacular over the last three games, averaging 29.7 points, 7.0 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals in 33.7 minutes. Despite sporting a major limp following Sunday's Game 4 win, the All-Star is likely more probable than questionable heading into Game 5, but his official availability will likely be a game-time decision.
-
Isaiah Hartenstein NY C
Knicks' Isaiah Hartenstein: Good to go for Game 5
3h agoHartenstein (shoulder) isn't listed on New York's injury report for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Pacers.
As expected, Hartenstein will be good to go for Game 5 after suffering a minor shoulder injury during Sunday's Game 4 loss. In New York's two wins during the Eastern Conference Semifinals, Hartenstein has averaged 13.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists. However, in the two losses, the starting center totaled only 10 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
-
Igor Shesterkin NYR G
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Guarding crease Monday
2h agoShesterkin will get the starting nod for Game 5 at home against the Hurricanes, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
Shesterkin was riding a seven-game winning streak to begin the playoffs before Carolina finally beat him in Game 4 on Saturday. He allowed four goals on 31 shots in the loss, the first time this postseason he's allowed more than three. He's registered an impressive .925 save percentage while facing 160 shots this series.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Unavailable Monday
2h agoChytil (illness) will not play Monday against the Hurricanes, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
On top of his illness, Chytil is reportedly also dealing with some soreness that's unrelated to the head injury that cost him nearly the entire 2023-24 campaign. He logged one shot and one hit in 12:02 of ice time during the Game 3 win against Carolina, his first game since Nov. 2. He'll be considered question for Game 6 on Thursday, if necessary.
-
Carson Soucy VAN D
Canucks' Carson Soucy: Receives one-game suspension
3h agoSoucy was suspended for one game by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Monday for cross-checking Edmonton's Connor McDavid in Sunday's Game 3.
Soucy received a two-minute penalty for cross-checking McDavid at the 20-minute mark of the third period in the Canucks' 4-3 win over the Oilers on Sunday. Noah Juulsen will probably replace Soucy in the lineup for Game 4 against Edmonton on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Soucy has four assists, zero shots on goal, nine blocked shots and 27 hits in nine contests this postseason.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Set to start Game 4
6h agoOettinger will guard the road goal in Game 4 versus Colorado on Monday, per Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Oettinger has won his last two outings, including a 28-save performance in Saturday's 4-1 victory over the Avalanche in Game 3. He has a 6-4 record with a 2.12 GAA and a .919 save percentage through 10 starts this postseason. If the Stars emerge victorious in Monday's contest, the team can take a commanding 3-1 series lead back to Dallas for Game 5 on Wednesday.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Remains out
7h agoHakanpaa (lower body) won't play Monday in Game 4 versus the Avalanche, according to Ryan Boulding of NHL.com.
Hakanpaa sat out the final 13 games of the regular season and will miss his 11th straight playoff contest. It's still unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. Hakanpaa registered two goals, 12 points, 56 shots on net, 123 blocked shots and 196 hits in 64 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Alexandar Georgiev COL G
Avalanche's Alexandar Georgiev: In goal for Game 4
7h agoGeorgiev will patrol the home crease during Monday's Game 4 versus Dallas, Jesse Montano of Guerilla Sports reports.
Georgiev was decent in Saturday's Game 3, turning aside 19 of 21 shots, but he ultimately came away with a second straight loss to the Stars due to insufficient goal support from his teammates. He'll try to help the Avalanche even the series up at two games apiece by picking up his sixth win of the playoffs during Monday's pivotal home contest versus Dallas.
