Bud Dupree ATL OLB
Chargers' Bud Dupree: Set to join Chargers
45m agoDupree will sign a two-year contract with the Chargers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Dupree reportedly recently met with both the Falcons and Steelers in addition to the Chargers, and it appears that he'll end up with Los Angeles. The veteran edge rusher enjoyed a solid bounce-back campaign with Atlanta last season, recording 39 tackles (his most since 2019), including 6.5 sacks (his most since 2020). Dupree will add to an already formidable Chargers pass rush that also includes Joey Bosa (foot), Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu.

AJ Parker CAR CB
AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
6h agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The details and severity of Parker's injury are unknown, other than the fact that it did not occur on the football field. The cornerback will now be available to be claimed off waivers should any other teams show interest.

Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
6h agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.
-
Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
6h agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.
-
Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
9h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
1d agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.

Taijuan Walker PHI SP
Phillies' Taijuan Walker: Moves to 3-0
2m agoWalker (3-0) earned the win Saturday against the Marlins, yielding just one run on eight hits and one walk over six frames. He struck out four.
Walker went at least six innings for the third time in three starts since he returned from the injured list and he's picked up a victory in all three of those outings. The backing of the Phillies' offense has helped, of course, as Walker is sporting a 4.82 ERA. He's trending in the right direction, though, with back-to-back quality starts. He'll attempt to move his record to 4-0 next week against either the Mets or Nationals at home.

Kenley Jansen BOS RP
Red Sox's Kenley Jansen: Collects sixth save
18m agoJansen struck out two in a perfect inning Saturday to notch his sixth save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Nationals.
After the Red Sox broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, Jansen made quick work of the Nats in the top of the ninth with a groundout and a couple punchouts. The outing comes one day after Jansen was touched up for two runs in a non-save situation Friday. Jansen battled control issues early on in the season but has seemed to figure those out, putting up a 10:1 K:BB across his last six frames.
-
Cooper Criswell BOS SP
Red Sox's Cooper Criswell: Fans nine in no-decision
27m agoCriswell did not factor into the decision Saturday versus the Nationals, permitting two runs on three hits and a walk over five frames. He struck out nine.
Criswell was dinged by a couple solo home runs; one in the second inning by Joey Meneses and another in the fourth hit by Eddie Rosario. He yielded only one other hit and no runs otherwise, though, and his nine punchouts were a career high. Criswell was pulled after five with his pitch count at just 79, as the Red Sox are continuing to keep a close eye on his workload as he transitions from the bullpen (he hasn't thrown more than 83 pitches in a start and has yet to record an out beyond the fifth inning). He's been awfully effective when on the bump, though, with his ERA actually going up to 2.10 after Saturday's outing. Criswell is slated to face his former club, the Rays, his next time out.

Brandon Nimmo NYM LF
Mets' Brandon Nimmo: Injury believed to be minor
42m agoMets manager Carlos Mendoza said Saturday that he's "not too concerned" about Nimmo's (intercostal) injury, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Nimmo tweaked his right intercostal on a checked swing Saturday against Atlanta and eventually exited the game. However, Mendoza said of the injury that "I think we caught it early," and as of no there are no plans to send him for an MRI. Nimmo will be reevaluated Sunday but is considered day-to-day for the time being.

Jake Irvin WAS SP
Nationals' Jake Irvin: Pitches well in no-decision
1h agoIrvin did not factor into the decision Saturday in Boston, allowing two runs on four hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out six.
It's the first time in 32 career starts at the big-league level that Irvin completed seven innings. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to pick up a win for his efforts, as the right-hander departed with the game tied and then watched reliever Robert Garcia cough up a couple runs in the eighth inning. Irvin has permitted two or fewer runs in five of his last six outings, lowering his ERA to a season-low 3.55. His next projected start is a difficult one on the road versus the Phillies.

Jason Heyward LAD RF
Dodgers' Jason Heyward: Rehab assignment Tuesday
1h agoHeyward (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Given that Andy Pages is hitting .300 with an .850 OPS while being a defensive positive in right field, Heyward may be coming back to a bench role, or the Dodgers could demote James Outman (-0.1 fWAR) to Triple-A to make room. Heyward will play in rehab games Tuesday and Wednesday before being evaluated.

Jarrett Allen CLE C
Cavaliers' Jarrett Allen: Ruled out for Game 3
10m agoAllen (ribs) is out for Saturday's Game 3 against the Celtics, Evan Dammarell of Right Down Euclid reports.
Allen has yet to see the court in the series against the Celtics, and he'll aim to be available for the Game 4 matchup on Monday. This means Evan Mobley will remain at center while Isaac Okoro should also remain in the starting lineup.
-
Dean Wade CLE PF
Cavaliers' Dean Wade: Good to go Saturday
10m agoWade (knee) is available for Saturday's Game 3 against Boston, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
Wade has been sidelined since March 8, but he made it through warmups without any setbacks and is officially good to go. Jarrett Allen (ribs) remains out, however. It will be interesting to see what type of role Wade plays after being sidelined so long.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker MIN SF
Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Not on injury report
2h agoAlexander-Walker is not on the injury report ahead of Sunday's Game 4 against the Nuggets.
Alexander-Walker appeared to hurt his left shoulder during Game 3 Friday, and he was complaining about the pain in the locker room after the game. However, it appears that he escaped without anything too serious, and fantasy managers can expect him to suit up in his usual role Sunday.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Questionable to play Sunday
2h agoHaliburton is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks due to back and ankle injuries.
Haliburton is pretty banged up, as the star floor general is dealing with three different injuries ahead of Sunday's contest: low back spasms, a sacral contusion and a right ankle sprain. Haliburton has been playing well of late and has surpassed the 30-point mark in each of Indiana's last two games.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Iffy for Game 4
2h agoNesmith is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against New York with right shoulder soreness.
Nesmith's shoulder injury is new, as he seemingly picked up the issue during the Pacers Game 3 win. Nesmith has averaged 34.3 minutes per game during the series, which could open up plenty of minutes for Doug McDermott and Ben Sheppard if Nesmith winds up sitting Sunday.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Ruled out for Game 4
2h agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 4 against the Pacers.
This is hardly a surprise given how tricky hamstring injuries are to deal with. Anunoby has been traveling with the team and is likely getting treatment around the clock. In the meantime, the Knicks are likely to play a very tight rotation with Alec Burks getting extended run in Game 4.
-
Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Won't play in Game 4
1h agoChytil (illness) won't play versus Carolina in Game 4 on Saturday, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
Chytil returned from a head injury Thursday, logging a shot and a hit in 12:02 of ice time en route to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Hurricanes. However, he didn't join the Rangers for Saturday's morning skate, which is what first put his status in question. Jonny Brodzinski is expected to draw into the lineup due to Chytil's absence.
-
Frederik Andersen CAR G
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Expected to face Rangers
1h agoAndersen is set to guard the home goal against the Rangers in Game 4 on Saturday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Andersen is drawing back in after Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 22 of 25 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime loss to New York in Game 3 on Thursday. The 34-year-old Andersen has a 2.58 GAA and an .899 save percentage across seven playoff outings this year. The Rangers have made life difficult for opposing goaltenders by averaging 3.71 goals per contest in the 2024 postseason.
-
Igor Shesterkin NYR G
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Set to start Saturday
1h agoShesterkin is expected to start on the road against Carolina in Game 4 on Saturday, per Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer
Shesterkin has an opportunity to earn his eighth straight victory to open the 2024 playoffs. He's posted a 2.01 GAA and a .935 save percentage across his first seven postseason wins this year. Although the Rangers have an opportunity to complete the second-round sweep of Carolina, the Hurricanes have kept things close, forcing the last two contests to go to overtime while firing a combined 104 shots on Shesterkin over that span, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the 28-year-old netminder challenged often with the Hurricanes' playoff hopes on the line.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Still unavailable
4h agoHakanpaa (lower body) won't play Saturday in Game 3 against Colorado, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hakanpaa missed the final 13 games of the regular season and will sit out his 10th consecutive playoff contest. He earned two goals, 12 points, 56 shots on net, 123 blocked shots and 196 hits in 64 appearances during the 2023-24 campaign.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Back in goal for Game 3
6h agoOettinger will guard the road cage Saturday against Colorado in Game 3, Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Oettinger has allowed seven goals on 57 shots in the first two games of the series, but he'll be back at it Saturday with Dallas looking to take the lead in the series. Oettinger is 5-4-0 in the postseason with a .914 save percentage and 2.24 GAA.
-
Arvid Holm COL G
Arvid Holm: Signs overseas
6h agoHolm has signed a three-year contract with Rogle BK of the SHL, Brennan Vogt of The-Rink.com reports.
This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
