10h agoGreenlaw (Achilles) no longer requires a walking boot, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Greenlaw made a public appearance at an event in San Jose and discussed his recovery from Achilles surgery. He has previously said he hopes to be ready for Week 1, and his ability to walk without a boot is a small step in that direction. Greenlaw's level of participation at the start of training camp will be more telling regarding his availability come the regular season.

Flowers suited up for all 17 games with the Falcons in 2023. Now he's signing with his fourth team in as many years. The Jaguars are thin at cornerback behind Tyson Campbell and Ronald Darby, so Flowers could push for a significant role in 2024.

With Jordan Poyer having been poached by Miami and Micah Hyde eyeing retirement, Buffalo is understandably scrambling to restock at safety ahead of next season. Delaney recorded 25 tackles (17 solo) and two interceptions with Tampa Bay last year.

Diesch signed with the Browns on Tuesday, but he's already done with the team after failing a physical. He'll now have to look for another opportunity to make an impression with a different team.

Christensen had been working his way back from a bicep tear he sustained in Week 1 last season, but he's now apparently back in football shape. He could compete with Austin Corbett for Carolina's starting center job in 2024.

Ogundeji spent the 2023 season on the Falcons' injured reserve list with a foot issue, and now Atlanta is parting ways with him. He'll have to look for his next opportunity with a different club.

Tyler Stephenson CIN CReds' Tyler Stephenson: Two hits, two RBI in win
4m agoStephenson went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers.
Stephenson produced runs on his first two plate appearances, singling in the first inning then doubling home the eventual game-winning run in the third. Both runs were scored by Elly De La Cruz, who had stolen bases prior to Stephenson's at-bat. He has multiple hits in three straight games, going 7-for-13 with three doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. A lack of production from the middle of the order early in the season prompted Reds manager David Bell to move Stephenson up. The catcher was in the lower-third to start the season but has slotted in anywhere from third to sixth over the last 13 starts.

17m agoBenson went 1-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers.
Benson homered to lead off the game, his second long ball in three games and sixth of the season. He's batted leadoff in all three contests, taking the spot normally reserved for TJ Friedl (thumb, IL), and hit safely in all three. It's been a rough start to the season for Benson, who's hitting .196/.290/.406 while striking out an alarming 40.1 percent of the time.

23m agoCapel started in left field and went 1-for-2 in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Dodgers.
Capel made a third consecutive start -- all against right-handers -- and was eventually pinch hit for against a lefty reliever, the second time a teammate has pinch hit for him against a southpaw. Capel is 2-for-8 with a stolen base and a run scored over five appearances since having his contract selected May 7. His opportunities have increased due to injuries to TJ Friedl (thumb, IL), Christian Encarnacion-Strand (wrist, IL) and Jonathan India (migraine, day-to-day).

Joey Loperfido HOU LFAstros' Joey Loperfido: Crushes first homer
1h agoLoperfido went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's win over the Athletics while also drawing a walk.
Loperfido jumped on a changeup from Joey Estes with two outs in the bottom of the third and sent it over the wall in right field for his first big-league home run, capping off a six-run inning for Houston. The rookie outfielder has gotten off to a fantastic start and has now hit safely in five straight games. Over that stretch he's batting .388 (7-for-18) with three RBI and three runs scored.

2h agoDubin picked up his first save in a win over Oakland on Thursday, allowing one run on two hits over three innings while striking out two.
Dubin took advantage of a rare save opportunity and closed out the final three innings for the Astros on Thursday. The right-handed reliever surrendered a leadoff single to kick things off in the seventh and then allowed the runner to advance on a wild pitch before they would eventually make their way home to put Oakland on the board. However, Dubin was able to work his way through it before cruising through the next two frames and recording his longest outing of the campaign. On the downside, he's now allowed at least one run in two of his last three appearances.

Joey Estes OAK SPAthletics' Joey Estes: Lit up in second start
2h agoEstes (1-1) was hit with the loss Thursday against the Astros, allowing eight runs on eight hits and four walks over 3.2 innings while striking out four.
Estes struggled with his command out of the gate and was lucky to get through the first two innings unscathed despite allowing four batters to reach over that span. However, it would finally catch up with the 22-year-old right-hander in the third after he issued a walk to Kyle Tucker to open the frame, which would eventually lead to six runs coming across for Houston in the inning. Estes would surrender another two runs in the fourth and actually allowed the leadoff man to reach in all four innings in which he appeared. He threw just 61 pitches over five frames in his first outing and did not walk a batter, but needed 89 pitches to get through 3.2 innings Thursday, while issuing four free passes.

Anthony Edwards MIN SGTimberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Scores 27 in big win Thursday
9h agoEdwards notched 27 points (8-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, four assists and three steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 victory over Denver in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Edwards bounced back from an ugly outing in Game 5 and led Minnesota in scoring in this pivotal matchup, as he looked far more aggressive than during his previous appearance. Edwards deserves credit for his constant off-the-ball movement as well, as his movements on the perimeter, coupled with the return of Mike Conley from a one-game absence, made things very difficult for Denver on defense. This was Edwards' fourth game with at least 25 points in the series, and he's expected to operate as Minnesota's primary offensive weapon in Sunday's do-or-die Game 7 at Ball Arena.

Jaden McDaniels MIN SFTimberwolves' Jaden McDaniels: Excels in Game 6 victory
9h agoMcDaniels notched 21 points (8-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 30 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 victory over Denver in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
McDaniels is not known for his scoring ability and often gets recognition for his defensive work. Still, he stood out when it mattered the most in this series and finished as Minnesota's second-highest scorer. McDaniels is not expected to hover around the 20-point mark regularly going forward, but this was an excellent showing in a game during which his team needed him to step up. In fact, this was McDaniels' second-best scoring output in the current playoff run, as he scored 25 points in the Game 2 win over the Suns in the first round.

Karl-Anthony Towns MIN PFTimberwolves' Karl-Anthony Towns: Records double-double
9h agoTowns finished Thursday's 115-70 victory over Denver in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals with 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes.
Towns had a couple of clutch buckets in the early stages of the game, but for the most part, he took a backseat in the scoring column as Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels carried Minnesota offensively in this win. The Timberwolves need Towns to be at his best if they want to have a shot at winning a complicated Game 7 on the road, and for that to happen, he'll need to be even more aggressive on the offensive end of the court, an area in which he hasn't been consistent throughout the series. Towns has reached the 20-point mark in four of the six games he's played in the semis, and the Timberwolves have gone 3-1 in those contests.

Nikola Jokic DEN CNuggets' Nikola Jokic: Can't carry Denver in Game 6
9h agoJokic contributed 22 points (9-19 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and two assists across 36 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Jokic delivered one of the best performances of his playoff career in Game 5 of the series, but he was unable to repeat those numbers in this woeful loss despite a respectable stat line. Jokic shot under 50 percent from the field for the third time in the series, and the Nuggets have lost every time that has happened. While the entire Nuggets offense must perform better in a do-or-die Game 7 contest on Sunday, Jokic will be the one who sets the tone early on.

Aaron Gordon DEN PFNuggets' Aaron Gordon: Solid play not enough Thursday
9h agoGordon recorded 12 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 28 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 loss to Minnesota in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
The entire Nuggets offense struggled in this game, as shown by the fact the team shot 30.2 percent from the field and 19.4 percent from three-point range in this Game 6 loss. Despite the collective struggles, Gordon found a way to make an impact with his two-way play, and he was also one of just three Denver players who scored in double digits in this loss. Gordon has been arguably the second-best player for Denver in this series, and he'll aim to deliver another strong showing in Game 7 at home on Sunday.

Jamal Murray DEN PGNuggets' Jamal Murray: Shooting woes too much to overcome
9h agoMurray recorded 10 points (4-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Thursday's 115-70 loss to Minnesota in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray had been the catalyst of the Nuggets offense during this series, but he struggled massively Thursday, though the entire team looked overmatched from start to finish. There's no doubt the offense runs through Nikola Jokic, but it's also not a secret that Denver tends to struggle heavily when Murray is not at his best, and that has been the case in each of the three losses the Nuggets have suffered in this series. Murray will aim to bounce back in Sunday's Game 7, as the Nuggets need him at his best to avoid a monumental upset and keep their hopes of a title defense alive.

Vincent Desharnais EDM DOilers' Vincent Desharnais: Gets on scoresheet with assist
7h agoDesharnais registered an assist, three hits and four blocked shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Canucks in Game 5.
The helper was Desharnais' first point since a two-assist game versus the Ducks on March 30. The 27-year-old defenseman has added 27 hits, 26 blocks, three shots on net and a minus-4 rating over 10 playoff appearances. He continues to play in a bottom-four role as a physical presence, so his lack of production typically won't have an impact on fantasy competitions.

The helper was Brown's first point in four playoff contests, and he's added two hits and a plus-1 rating. The 30-year-old has been limited to fourth-line minutes, which has given him few chances to contribute. Brown could be at risk of losing his spot in the lineup once Adam Henrique (ankle) is able to return.

Kulak is up to three points over 10 playoff contests after helping out on a Mattias Janmark tally in the first period. The 30-year-old Kulak has provided steady defense from a third-pairing role, adding 17 blocked shots, 13 hits and a plus-1 rating. He's a staple in the lineup, but he rarely contributes much in the way of fantasy-relevant production.

Draisaitl extended his point streak to 10 games, though this was just the second time in that span he's been held to a single point. The 28-year-old has often looked like the Oilers' best player in the postseason, racking up eight goals, 13 helpers, 41 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating. He's earned 11 of his points with the man advantage and should continue to see significant ice time in all situations.

Janmark snapped a seven-game point drought with his first-period tally. The 31-year-old forward remains in a fourth-line role, so it's not unusual to see him go long stretches without offense since the Oilers lean heavily on their top players. Through 10 playoff outings, Janmark has a goal, two assists, seven shots on net, 10 hits and a plus-2 rating.
