Jacob Sirmon CLE QB
Jacob Sirmon: Let go by Cleveland
12m agoSirmon was waived by the Browns on Monday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
The quarterback signed with the Browns on May 12 after participating in the team's rookie minicamp. During his final collegiate season at Northern Colorado in 2023, Sirmon completed 56.4 percent of his passes for 1,255 yards, eight touchdowns and nine interceptions.

Drew Sanders DEN LB
Broncos' Drew Sanders: Suffers serious injury
34m agoSanders suffered a torn Achilles Monday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
The second-year linebacker played in all 17 games as a rookie but only started four, making 24 tackles. Sanders was likely to play a role in Denver's inside linebacker rotation with projected starters Alex Singleton and Cody Barton. Now, the 2023 third-round pick will miss most or all of the 2024 campaign.

Kyzir White ARI OLB
Cardinals' Kyzir White: Returns to action
45m agoWhite (biceps) took part in Arizona's first OTA Monday, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
The linebacker tore his biceps in Week 11 of the 2023 season and missed the last six games. Before going out with the injury, White recorded 90 tackles and three passes defensed. The Cardinals signed him to a two-year, $10-million contract in 2023, so White should be in line to start this year if he stays healthy.
-
Daniel Jones NYG QB
Giants' Daniel Jones: Continues to progress in rehab
1h agoJones (knee) took part in 7-on-7 drills during Monday's OTA, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
After signing a four-year, $160 million contract with the Giants last offseason, Jones didn't live up to increase in pay in 2023, mostly due to a neck injury and then a torn ACL that he suffered in his right knee Week 9. Overall, he completed 108 of 160 passes (67.5 percent) for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions while taking 40 carries for 206 yards and another TD in six appearances. Since undergoing surgery Nov. 22, Jones progressed to throwing by late February and running and some cutting by early May, with the aim to receive full medical clearance by training camp. He's expected to retake the reins of the offense once he's healthy, but two of the options on the quarterback depth chart behind him (Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito) have starting experience under their belts.

JuJu Smith-Schuster NE WR
Patriots' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Played through injury in 2023
4h agoSmith-Schuster said Monday at the start of OTAs that he never reached 100 percent health during the 2023 season, Chris Mason of The Springfield Republican reports.
Smith-Schuster said the last 12 months have made a "big difference," and he estimated that last offseason he was only at 60 percent health due to a lingering knee injury. Across 11 games in 2023, he was an afterthought in New England's offense, finishing with just a 29-260-1 receiving line despite little established competition at the position. If truly healthier and now able to move better, Smith-Schuster could earn more consistent targets from Jacoby Brissett and Drake Maye, though the Patriots' wide receiver corps has gotten more crowded with the additions of rookies Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker, plus free-agent addition K.J. Osborn.

Deuce Vaughn DAL RB
Cowboys' Deuce Vaughn: Could take slot snaps?
4h agoVaughn (ankle) is a candidate to earn more work out of the slot this offseason, Reid Hanson of USA Today reports.
Vaughn only suited up for seven games as a rookie before landing on IR, across which he totaled just 80 yards from scrimmage without a touchdown. Now presumably healthy, the 5-foot-6 running back could have a clearer path to backfield opportunities with Tony Pollard having moved on to Tennessee, even with Ezekiel Elliott now back atop the depth chart. The slot could be a more natural fit for Vaughn, though to emerge as an actual fantasy contributor in Year 2, he'll need to earn more than the occasional designed play.

Dustin May LAD SP
Dodgers' Dustin May: Begins throwing off mound
7m agoMay (elbow) has started throwing off a mound at the Dodgers' team facility in Arizona, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
May has been slowly working his way back from the surgery underwent on his right flexor tendon and UCL in July. The right-hander will progressively increase his workload on the mound before he'll likely throw live batting practice and ultimately go on an extended minor-league rehab assignment. The organization will likely be especially cautious in their approach to May's recovery and his return to the majors is currently projected to come around the All-Star break.
-
Joe Kelly LAD RP
Dodgers' Joe Kelly: Launching throwing program
19m agoKelly (shoulder) is set to begin his throwing program Monday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Kelly has been on the 15-day injured list since May 6 with a right shoulder strain and he will now take the first step towards making his return. The right-hander will likely need to build up his workload and even potentially make a trip to the minors for a rehab assignment. Depending on how his shoulder responds to the beginning of his throwing program, Kelly will receive a timetable for his return, which currently appears to be at least a week away at the earliest.
-
Bobby Miller LAD SP
Dodgers' Bobby Miller: Scheduled for sim game
19m agoMiller (shoulder) is expected to throw a simulated game Tuesday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Miller continues to make progress in his recovery after being sent to the 15-day injured list April 13 due to right shoulder inflammation. He successfully completed a bullpen session Saturday, and as expected, he's now been given the green light to toss a sim game. Miller will likely be sent out on a rehab assignment later in the week, assuming all goes well Tuesday.
-
Evan Phillips LAD RP
Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Will require several rehab outings
23m agoPhillips (hamstring) is expected to make 2-to-3 rehab appearances before being activated from the 15-day injured list, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
Stephen estimates that Phillips is about a week away from a return, though how the right-hander fares during his rehab outings will ultimately dictate his exact return date. He's been shut down since May 3 since suffering a right hamstring strain.
-
Joe Ross MIL SP
Brewers' Joe Ross: Exits start early
37m agoRoss was removed from Monday's start against the Marlins after one scoreless inning due to back tightness, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.
Ross was reportedly dealing with some back tightness before Monday's start, but he felt good enough to give it a go after warming up. However, his back tightened back up during a 15-pitch first inning, and he's been officially diagnosed with a low back strain. Jared Koenig was called upon out of the bullpen following the right-hander's departure and will likely be asked to eat up a few frames.
-
Emmet Sheehan LAD SP
Dodgers' Emmet Sheehan: Had internal brace procedure
1h agoSheehan revealed Monday that last week's right elbow surgery was an internal brace procedure, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.
The internal brace procedure typically allows for a shorter rehab than your traditional Tommy John surgery, although Sheehan noted Monday that he's been told to expect the rehab to last 13 months. That puts the young right-hander out until around the All-Star break next year.

Xavier Tillman BOS C
Celtics' Xavier Tillman: Questionable for Game 1
2h agoTillman is questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Pacers due to personal reasons, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
Tillman hasn't been a consistent part of the rotation during the playoffs, appearing in just three matchups and averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. While it's unclear whether he'll be available to begin the Eastern Conference Finals, his status shouldn't significantly impact the rotation.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Remains out for Game 1 of ECF
3h agoPorzingis (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals versus the Pacers.
As expected, Porzingis will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Finals due to a right calf strain he suffered in Boston's opening-round series versus Miami. The Latvian big man didn't practice Monday, so it doesn't appear he's close to game action. However, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported Friday that Boston is optimistic that Porzingis could return at some point during the series versus Indiana.
-
Kristaps Porzingis BOS C
Celtics' Kristaps Porzingis: Doesn't practice Monday
7h agoPorzingis (calf) didn't participate in Monday's practice session, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
Porzingis sustained a calf injury during the first round of the playoffs and isn't expected to be available for the start of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers. His absence from practice reflects that pessimism, while Al Horford and Luke Kornet should continue to see an uptick in playing time during Tuesday's Game 1.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope DEN SG
Nuggets' Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: Poor offensive showing Sunday
13h agoCaldwell-Pope racked up five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Caldwell-Pope scored single digits for the sixth time in the past eight games, highlighting the Nuggets' struggles when it comes to depth on the offensive end. While he continues to play a key role for Denver, his lack of production cannot be ignored when it comes to fantasy value. Looking ahead to next season, there is no reason to think he will be anything more than a situational streamer, utilized for steals and threes.
-
Jamal Murray DEN PG
Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Scores game-high 35 points
13h agoMurray provided 35 points (13-27 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists over 43 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to Minnesota in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Murray did everything he could to get the Nuggets over the line but ultimately came up short. He and Nikola Jokic scored 69 of the Nuggets' 90 points, highlighting just how unimpactful their bench was. While it was a disappointing end for Murray, his production this year aligned with what fantasy managers expected coming into the season. Given they will likely be contending again next season, there is no reason to think anything changes from a fantasy perspective in 2024-25.
-
Michael Porter Jr. DEN SF
Nuggets' Michael Porter: Goes cold in Game 7 loss
13h agoPorter posted seven points (3-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and two blocks across 34 minutes during Sunday's 98-90 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
Porter went just 1-for-6 from the three-point line, continuing a rough series for the sharpshooter. Over the seven-game span, Porter scored fewer than 10 points on five occasions. It was an unfortunate end for Porter after he managed to put together a strong season. Despite the poor postseason performance, Porter should be able to maintain mid-round value in most fantasy formats next season.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Gets starting nod for Game 7
6h agoSkinner will be between the road pipes for Monday's Game 7 clash with the Canucks, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports.
Skinner returned from a two-game benching to stop 14 of 15 shots in a Game 6 win. In each of his last three appearances, the netminder has faced less than 20 shots, though that's not surprising since the Canucks have averaged a league-worst 21.1 shots per game in the postseason. If he can secure the win Monday, Skinner should be the presumptive starter moving forward.
-
Jani Hakanpaa DAL D
Stars' Jani Hakanpaa: Still day-to-day
6h agoHakanpaa (lower body) didn't practice Monday and remains day-to-day prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hakanpaa has missed the last 26 contests, including Dallas' first 13 playoff outings. It is still unclear when he will be available to return. If Hakanpaa can't play Thursday, Alex Petrovic or Nils Lundkvist will be in the lineup against Edmonton or Vancouver.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Remains day-to-day
6h agoHintz (upper body) is considered day-to-day ahead of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday, per Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
Hintz sat out the final two contests of Dallas' second-round series against Colorado. He has recorded two goals, six points, 13 shots on net and 15 hits through 11 playoff outings. Hintz skated Monday, but his availability for the start of the next round of the postseason remains unclear at this time.
-
Ilya Mikheyev VAN RW
Canucks' Ilya Mikheyev: In action Monday
7h agoMikheyev (undisclosed) will rejoin the lineup for Game 7 versus the Oilers on Monday, Thomas Drance of The Athletic reports.
Mikheyev missed the previous two contests with an apparent undisclosed injury. He has yet to register a point in 10 postseason contests. With Mikheyev back in action, Vasily Podkolzin is expected to serve as a healthy scratch.
-
Brock Boeser VAN RW
Canucks' Brock Boeser: Won't return this postseason
8h agoBoeser will miss the remainder of the 2024 playoffs after a blood-clotting issue was found in his leg following Vancouver's Game 6 loss to Edmonton on Saturday, per Sportsnet.
Boeser will conclude the postseason with seven goals and 12 points in 12 appearances. He also set career highs during the 2023-24 regular season, producing 40 goals and 73 points over 81 outings. If Ilya Mikheyev (undisclosed) can't play in Monday's Game 7 matchup versus the Oilers, Sam Lafferty or Linus Karlsson could draw into the lineup to replace Boeser.
-
Brett Seney CHI LW
Blackhawks' Brett Seney: Inks one-year extension
9h agoSeney signed a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Monday.
Seney supplied 23 goals and 63 points in 68 contests with AHL Rockford during the 2023-24 regular season. The 28-year-old forward has one goal in 11 NHL outings with the Blackhawks over the past two campaigns.
