AJ Parker: Waived with non-football injury
5h agoThe Panthers waived Parker with an undisclosed non-football injury Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Raequan Williams CAR DT
Raequan Williams: Gets waived/injured
5h agoWilliams was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday due to an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
No details have been released regarding more information on the severity of Williams' injury. He will presumably revert to Carolina's injured reserve assuming he clears waivers, which means his 2024 season will be done unless both parties can reach an injury settlement.

Ilm Manning CAR OT
Ilm Manning: Waived/injured by Carolina
5h agoManning was waived/injured by the Panthers on Friday with an undisclosed injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
There is no word on the severity of Manning's injury. Assuming he clears waivers, the guard will subsequently revert to Carolina's injured reserve. From there, he would need to reach an injury settlement with the team at some point lest his 2024 season comes to a premature end.

Bradlee Anae NYJ DE
Falcons' Bradlee Anae: Inks deal with Atlanta
8h agoAnae (undisclosed) has agreed to terms on a contract with the Falcons, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
This news comes less than 24 hours after Anae's tryout in Atlanta. His 2023 season came to an end early, as the Jets placed him on injured reserve nearly one year ago with an undisclosed injury presumably suffered during offseason workouts. The defensive end's addition to Atlanta's roster indicates his health is back up to par, so he will now compete for a role in the trenches.

Gerrid Doaks HOU RB
Gerrid Doaks: Cut by Houston
1d agoThe Texans waived Doaks on Friday.
Doaks spent most of the past two seasons with Houston's practice squad and had signed a reserve/future contract with the club in January. However, he was cut Friday after the Texans reshaped their running back room in the offseason by trading for Joe Mixon, adding Jawhar Jordan in the draft and signing British Brooks as an undrafted free agent. Doaks has yet to play a snap in the NFL.
-
Je'Quan Burton 2005 WR
Dolphins' Je'Quan Burton: Headed to Miami
1d agoThe Dolphins signed Burton on Friday.
As a senior at Florida Atlantic, Burton hauled in 24 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Miami's wide receiver depth chart will be tough to crack for any undrafted rookie ahead of 2024.
-
Michael Massey KC 2B
Royals' Michael Massey: Sits against lefty
9m agoMassey is not in Saturday's lineup against the Angels.
He'll sit against lefty Tyler Anderson, with Garrett Hampson getting the nod at the keystone. Massey is hitting .273 with two home runs and two doubles in nine games this month.
-
Evan Carter TEX LF
Rangers' Evan Carter: Dealing with stiff back
19m agoCarter is sitting Saturday against the Rockies due to lower-back stiffness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Carter has had a history of lower-back issues, so the Rangers are acting cautiously, per Grant. Travis Jankowski is getting the start in left field and batting seventh.
-
Willie Calhoun LAA DH
Angels' Willie Calhoun: Sitting Saturday
23m agoCalhoun is not in Saturday's lineup against the Royals.
Calhoun was in the lineup against a lefty Wednesday, but he'll take a seat in this one against southpaw Cole Ragans. Look for Calhoun to play regularly as the designated hitter when the Angels face a right-handed pitcher.
-
Mickey Moniak LAA CF
Angels' Mickey Moniak: Sits against lefty
25m agoMoniak is not in Saturday's lineup against the Royals.
Per usual, Moniak will be on the bench to start the game with the Angels facing a southpaw (Cole Ragans). Kevin Pillar picks up the start in center field, batting cleanup.

Tigers' Matt Manning: Set to start Monday for Detroit
41m agoThe Tigers are set to promote Manning from Triple-A Toledo to start Monday against the Marlins, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Manning is set to rejoin the big club after Kenta Maeda was placed on the 15-day IL due to a viral illness. Manning started for the Tigers as the 27th man against the Cardinals on April 30, when he gave up four runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings while striking out seven in a no-decision. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 0-1 record over three major-league starts with a 4.24 ERA and 1.18 WHIP this season.

Timberwolves' Nickeil Alexander-Walker: Not on injury report
1h agoAlexander-Walker is not on the injury report ahead of Sunday's Game 4 against the Nuggets.
Alexander-Walker appeared to hurt his left shoulder during Game 3 Friday, and he was complaining about the pain in the locker room after the game. However, it appears that he escaped without anything too serious, and fantasy managers can expect him to suit up in his usual role Sunday.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Questionable to play Sunday
1h agoHaliburton is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against the Knicks due to back and ankle injuries.
Haliburton is pretty banged up, as the star floor general is dealing with three different injuries ahead of Sunday's contest: low back spasms, a sacral contusion and a right ankle sprain. Haliburton has been playing well of late and has surpassed the 30-point mark in each of Indiana's last two games.
-
Aaron Nesmith IND SF
Pacers' Aaron Nesmith: Iffy for Game 4
1h agoNesmith is questionable for Sunday's Game 4 against New York with right shoulder soreness.
Nesmith's shoulder injury is new, as he seemingly picked up the issue during the Pacers Game 3 win. Nesmith has averaged 34.3 minutes per game during the series, which could open up plenty of minutes for Doug McDermott and Ben Sheppard if Nesmith winds up sitting Sunday.
-
OG Anunoby NY SF
Knicks' OG Anunoby: Ruled out for Game 4
1h agoAnunoby (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Game 4 against the Pacers.
This is hardly a surprise given how tricky hamstring injuries are to deal with. Anunoby has been traveling with the team and is likely getting treatment around the clock. In the meantime, the Knicks are likely to play a very tight rotation with Alec Burks getting extended run in Game 4.
-
Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Checking back in
1h agoWilliams (ankle) has returned to Saturday's Game 3 against the Mavericks, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
Williams took a trip to the locker room late in the third quarter with what seemed to be a left ankle injury, but he'll be back in action for the fourth period. His return should mean fewer minutes for Gordon Hayward and Jaylin Williams down the stretch.

Jalen Williams OKC SF
Thunder's Jalen Williams: Heads to locker room
1h agoWilliams went to the locker room during Saturday's Game 3 with what appears to be a left ankle injury, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.

Filip Chytil NYR C
Rangers' Filip Chytil: Won't play in Game 4
4m agoChytil (illness) won't play versus Carolina in Game 4 on Saturday, according to Peter Baugh of The Athletic.
Chytil returned from a head injury Thursday, logging a shot and a hit in 12:02 of ice time en route to a 3-2 overtime victory over the Hurricanes. However, he didn't join the Rangers for Saturday's morning skate, which is what first put his status in question. Jonny Brodzinski is expected to draw into the lineup due to Chytil's absence.
-
Frederik Andersen CAR G
Hurricanes' Frederik Andersen: Expected to face Rangers
7m agoAndersen is set to guard the home goal against the Rangers in Game 4 on Saturday, Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Andersen is drawing back in after Pyotr Kochetkov stopped 22 of 25 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime loss to New York in Game 3 on Thursday. The 34-year-old Andersen has a 2.58 GAA and an .899 save percentage across seven playoff outings this year. The Rangers have made life difficult for opposing goaltenders by averaging 3.71 goals per contest in the 2024 postseason.
-
Igor Shesterkin NYR G
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Set to start Saturday
11m agoShesterkin is expected to start on the road against Carolina in Game 4 on Saturday, per Chip Alexander of The Raleigh News & Observer
Shesterkin has an opportunity to earn his eighth straight victory to open the 2024 playoffs. He's posted a 2.01 GAA and a .935 save percentage across his first seven postseason wins this year. Although the Rangers have an opportunity to complete the second-round sweep of Carolina, the Hurricanes have kept things close, forcing the last two contests to go to overtime while firing a combined 104 shots on Shesterkin over that span, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the 28-year-old netminder challenged often with the Hurricanes' playoff hopes on the line.
-

3h agoHakanpaa (lower body) won't play Saturday in Game 3 against Colorado, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.

This deal could spell the end of Holm's career in North America. The 25-year-old netminder didn't appear in an NHL game -- he went 6-6-0 with an .887 save percentage with AHL Colorado this year.
