Andrus Peat NO OG
Raiders' Andrus Peat: Signs with Las Vegas
26m agoPeat signed with the Raiders on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The offensive guard and three-time Pro Bowler spent his first nine seasons in New Orleans. Peat has started 102 of his 111 career games, but he is listed as the Raiders' backup left guard behind Dylan Parham.
-
Marlon Davidson TEN DE
Titans' Marlon Davidson: Re-signs with Tennessee
35m agoDavidson re-signed with the Titans on Monday after spending the 2023 season with the team.
The defensive tackle played in five games and on 153 defensive snaps last year, recording 10 tackles. Davidson finished with 29 tackles in two seasons with the Falcons before missing the 2022 season with a knee injury. The 2020 second-round pick is behind Jeffery Simmons on Tennessee's depth chart.

Thyrick Pitts GB WR
Thyrick Pitts: Waived by Green Bay
1h agoPitts was waived by the Packers on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The wide receiver joined the Green Bay practice squad in December and signed a reserve/future contract in January. Pitts was cut from the Patriots' practice squad before the 2023 season began.

Rashaad Penny PHI RB
Panthers' Rashaad Penny: Officially lands with Carolina
3h agoThe Panthers agreed to terms with Penny on Monday.
Penny is now 28 years old and spent last season in Philadelphia, where he appeared in just three regular-season games and was routinely a healthy scratch on game days. When healthy in Seattle from 2018-2022, he was electric with the ball in his hands, averaging a lethal 5.7 yards per carry on 337 rushing attempts, but an inability to stay on the field was his downfall. He has a history with new Panthers coach Dave Canales from their time together in Seattle, and Penny gives the Panthers backfield some more experience behind Chuba Hubbard and rookie Jonathon Brooks. There has been chatter that Miles Sanders' time may be running out with the team after just one season in Carolina.
-
Joe Burrow CIN QB
Bengals' Joe Burrow: Throwing at minicamp
6h agoBurrow (wrist) was on the field throwing at the Bengals' facility Monday.
Burrow's season ended 27 snaps into Week 11 last season, after which he required surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right (throwing) wrist. Earlier in the offseason, he stated that he expected to be fully cleared by mid-May, and it appears he's on track. Burrow should be all systems go well in time for training camp later this summer. His weaponry has gone a bit of an overhaul, with Joe Mixon, Tyler Boyd and Irv Smith jettisoned. Veterans Zack Moss and Mike Gesicki were signed as free agents to go along with returnees Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins.
-
Mike Jackson SEA CB
Seahawks' Mike Jackson: Agrees to contract restructure
7h agoJackson restructured his contract with the Seahawks on Monday to clear roughly $1.89 million in cap space, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Jackson signed a restricted free agent tender with Seattle to re-up with the team early April, but he now boasts a league-minimum base salary of $1.055 million in exchange for a new signing bonus of $167,500. A 2019 fifth-rounder, Jackson played a depth role on cornerback and contributed regularly on special teams across 17 games last season. He lacks a clear path to fantasy relevance in IDP formats, barring a player ahead of him on the depth chart missing time.

Joey Wentz DET RP
Tigers' Joey Wentz: Keeps cruising Monday
5m agoWentz tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians. He allowed one hit and struck out four.
Wentz relieved starter Jack Flaherty and kept Detroit in the game, as the lefty continued his excellent start to the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.68 and now has 18 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Wentz flopped as a starter last year but has reinvented himself as an effective long reliever. It's not the most fantasy-friendly role, but he could help with ratios, strikeouts and the occasional win in deeper formats.
-
Riley Greene DET LF
Tigers' Riley Greene: Provides all the offense Monday
9m agoGreene went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians.
Greene got Detroit on the board early, belting a leadoff home run against Triston McKenzie in the top of the first inning. However, he and his teammates went quiet from there. Fantasy managers won't mind too much, as the young outfielder now has four home runs over his last seven games, which has pushed him up to nine long balls for the season. Greene hit a career-high 11 home runs last year, and it looks like he should fly past that number in 2024.

Nathan Eovaldi TEX SP
Rangers' Nathan Eovaldi: Gets positive news from specialist
25m agoManager Bruce Bochy stated Monday that Eovaldi isn't dealing with a sports hernia and should be cleared to return after serving the 15-day minimum on the injured list, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The Rangers initially believed that Eovaldi wouldn't be forced to miss more than the required 15 days, and this report was confirmed after the right-hander visited a specialist Monday. The 34-year-old will tentatively be cleared to return sometime during his club's upcoming series against the Angels, which runs from May 17 through May 19.

Jonah Bride MIA 3B
Marlins' Jonah Bride: Returns to Triple-A
1h agoBride was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
After being called up Saturday, Bride went 1-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 12-3 win over the Athletics. With Jake Burger (oblique) returning from the 10-day injured list Monday, Bride was the odd man out on the major-league roster and he'll head back to Jacksonville. The 28-year-old has produced a .349 batting average with seven homers, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored and a stolen base over 86 at-bats in 25 games at Triple-A this season.
-
Jake Burger MIA 1B
Marlins' Jake Burger: Back from IL
1h agoBurger (oblique) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list prior to Monday's game against the Dodgers, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
As anticipated, Burger is back with the big club after missing the last few weeks rehabbing from a left intercostal strain. He was a big piece of the Marlins' offense before landing on the IL, recording three homers, 15 RBI and eight runs scored over his first 16 games of the 2024 season.
-
Walker Buehler LAD SP
Dodgers' Walker Buehler: Officially activated
2h agoBuehler (elbow) was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday's start against the Marlins.
As expected, Buehler will toe the rubber Monday evening in his first MLB action since undergoing Tommy John surgery in August 2022. He cruised through five innings April 30 during his final rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City, surrendering one run while fanning five batters, but even so, expect the club to keep a close eye on the right-hander's pitch count in the series opener.
-
Rudy Gobert MIN C
Timberwolves' Rudy Gobert: To miss Game 2
16m agoGobert (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 2 against the Nuggets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Gobert was added to the team's injury report earlier in the day due to a personal matter, and he's since been downgraded to out after Charania confirmed the birth of Gobert's first child. Look for Naz Reid, who put up 16 points in Game 1, to enter the starting lineup in Gobert's absence.
-
Victor Wembanyama SA C
Spurs' Victor Wembanyama: Brings home ROY honors
2h agoWembanyama (ankle) was named the 2023-24 Kia NBA Rookie of the Year on Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Wembanyama was the clear favorite for this year's Rookie of the Year honors, averaging 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 3.6 blocks in 29.7 minutes per appearance (71 games) during his first NBA campaign. It's also worth noting that the 7-4 center is one of three finalists for the 2023-24 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, which speaks to the monumental impact he had on both ends of the court this season for the Spurs.

Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Officially gets green light
2h agoHaliburton (back) is available for Monday's Game 1 against the Knicks.
As expected, Haliburton will continue to play through a back issue that flared up ahead of Game 4 of the opening-round series versus the Bucks. After landing on the injury report, Haliburton averaged 19.0 points, 6.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 32.7 minutes per game over the final three matchups against Milwaukee.
-
Tyrese Haliburton IND PG
Pacers' Tyrese Haliburton: Expected to play
3h agoCoach Rick Carlisle said he expects Haliburton, who's officially listed as questionable due to back spasms, to play in Monday's Game 1 against the Knicks, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
Given it's the playoffs and he didn't miss time during the opening-round series versus Milwaukee, Haliburton was already considered more probable than questionable, so this isn't a surprising update. After the back spasms flared up, Haliburton played 32.7 minutes over the final three matchups against the Bucks compared to 40.3 minutes across the first three games, though one of those was an overtime contest. Even if he was a bit limited, Haliburton remained productive despite the back issue, as he averaged 19.0 points, 6.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds after landing on the injury report.
-
Ty Jerome CLE SG
Cavaliers' Ty Jerome: Ruled out for Game 1
3h agoJerome (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against Boston.
Jerome hasn't suited up since late October due to ankle surgery. He'll remain sidelined to begin the Cavaliers' second-round series, and it's unclear when or if he'll be able to return during the playoffs.
-
Craig Porter Jr. CLE PG
Cavaliers' Craig Porter: Still out
3h agoPorter (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Celtics.
Porter didn't play during the opening-round series and will remain sidelined to start the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Even if the undrafted rookie is cleared, he isn't guaranteed playing time in the postseason.
-

1h agoCarlo (personal) is in Monday's lineup for Game 1 against Florida, Amalie Benjamin of NHL.com reports.

-
Jeremy Swayman BOS G
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tending twine in Game 1
9h agoSwayman will guard the road goal Monday in Game 1 against Florida, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.
Swayman was excellent in the first round of the postseason against Toronto, stopping 172 of 181 shots en route to a 4-2 record. Florida ranks third in the playoffs with 4.00 goals per contest.
-
Danton Heinen BOS C
Bruins' Danton Heinen: Unavailable for Game 1
9h agoHeinen (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup for Game 1 versus Florida on Monday, according to Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald.
Heinen, who is considered day-to-day, will miss his third straight contest. He has one assist, five shots on goal and nine hits in five outings this postseason.
-
Brandon Carlo BOS D
Bruins' Brandon Carlo: Game-time decision
9h agoCarlo (personal) will be a game-time decision for Game 1 versus Florida on Monday.
Head coach Jim Montgomery is "very hopeful" that Carlo will be able to join the team ahead of Monday's second-round opener. The 27-year-old blueliner was with his wife, Mayson, to welcome their baby boy, Crew, into the world Monday morning. Carlo has one goal, one assist, 11 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and 16 hits in seven outings this postseason. If Carlo is unavailable to play in Monday's contest, Derek Forbort could be in the lineup for the first time since March 2 after recovering from an undisclosed injury.

Boston also sits fourth in power-play percentage after scoring six times on 17 opportunities in the opening round versus Toronto.

Amadio played the final four games of the series after being scratched in favor of Pavel Dorofeyev early on. Amadio had two points, four shots on net, two hits and a plus-2 rating. The 27-year-old is set to be an unrestricted free agent this summer after posting back-to-back 27-point campaigns for Vegas.
